Why on earth would you need it on a disc? I see no logic in that... You do realize discs will be faded out completely within the next 10 years. Its all going online, cloud computing, and download stores.
of course the ps3 version had kratos... id normally just buy the game on a 360, but the fact of the matter is the ps3 has the free online, and it has kratos, with his level that has 3 stage fatalities in it. Kind of a no brainer since graphics wasnt a determining factor between either version.

yea apparently i think he tried to reply to me, but some how missed my name. Yes talk to any other game developer right now.. these other "aa" effects are camera filters. Not traditional anti aliasing. These other aa effects arent half as good as traditional AA, but they are good enough. I mean these fake aa effects are like depth of field or motion blur to a game... just an effected added ontop of a camera to modify an image...
ying yang dragon is right.. the blur is applied to everything slightly, u dont notice it so much, but someone who is looking for it will spot it. It will blue parts of the scene that arent even edges.

I cant speak for all of them, but most ps3 titles do not have any real AA where it re renders the entire screen. Ps3 gpu isnt powerful enough. Id say all the games on ps3 that are graphically impressive like god of war... do not use traditional real aa... part of the reason is some of them used deferred rendering which is a different rendering pipeline that allows you to get away with 100s of lights in a scene without any impact on performance, but the proble...
he means real aa renders the entire image a 2nd time.. all the models and eveything.. 2x aa for real aa means it renders everything over again to smooth it out, while mlaa is a fake aa effect. It tries to find jagged edges in an image by using a couple of methods and then sort of applies a bluring type of filter to those areas. It doesnt catch every jagged edge that way, and it doesnt always look as good, but for this generation of graphics its not bad to use id say.

its not about gaming at a low resolution... its about requiring a graphics card with 1 gb of memory in order for the high def texture pack in this update.... its about directx ll effects requiring a gtx 580 in order to truely make use of it. And its about needing a core I7 to run all the draw calls and effects for maxed out.
This is to max out the quality and get all those new effects and still run good. You can run crysis 2 and have it look like a console with a pretty shit...

Please... everyones got their own opinion. But the thing that takes away frame rate is draw calls for the most part. And when your using a lot of different shaders at the same time it basically means everytime a light hits the model it will be re rendered... and if the shader uses 3 passeses means it will be every light that hits hte model x 3. You can limit draw calls by not using normal maps on every single little thing for one.

yea but, i mean are you going to play frisby with that disc? the disc is just another medium of transporting the data. Id just as well transport that data over the web and house it on my hard drive. What happens if the dog chews up your frisby.
Your spending the money on whats on the disc... not the disc itself.
