MS stocks.... That's where it'll hurt the most for MS. Not only do you lose money on this, the company loses it's "Respectability/Accountab ility" as a company.... (LOL) I know, it's an oxy-moron.... but if MS issued a general recall or apology on this whole issue, they wouldn't be in this shxt-storm during the holiday season.

Quote from article:

"It's obviously a concern because Xbox, although still not material to earnings, is material to th...

I feel that it is news for the general moms and pops of the world..... They will get what their kids want.... and we know for the most part that the kids just don't know any better. If the moms and pops know of the 30% fail-rate issues that 360 is having, they'll think twice as hard at spending $400 dollars on a faulty game console. It doesn't say a lot about how MS runs it's business (as if we needed a reminder)......

15.1:

I agree... but the problem is that 30% of 360 is failing within the year you purchase your machine... I'd say that's a lot worse than the problem that Sony had when it first launch the PS2. If it was up to me, I'd stick with the Nintendo 8 bit system!! GO MUSHROOM POWER!!!!
God, that sounded gay.... LOL

That's lousy logic. As a consumer, you pay close to $400 for a piece of equipment that's brand spanking new. You or I should not have to deal with the machine breaking down within the first six months to a year. Especially when we know it's a design flaw to begin with. It's like buying a new HDTV for around $500, but it breaks down in 2 months and they ask you to return it so they can fix it because they designed it poorly..... You're SOL during that "fixing" period. WHY shou...

ha ha ha What's the point of having good games when you can't play it on your console???? Please no flame-wars. I'm just asking a legitimate question.
I just wish MS would admit that they were wrong for pushing out a product that's poorly designed and move on. It would make their customer (me included) restore some faith in the company and move on with this issue. An general apology is all that's needed with this issue. Instead of an apology, MS has to deal with this public relat...

no, but I cried a little when I see people buy that ugly Halo 3 edition of 360 that MS is selling. The white/black ones are better looking... LOL

Freaking fanboys....

I agree, but you also failed to mention that due to the fact that MS had a extra year with their consoles, they've had more time to mold their product. While Sony is still in the 1st year of their launch. The reason that MS has more games (some good ones) now is because of that extra year. Therefore, consumers will buy MS because of more games (although mostly from the same genre). Sony's sales are on-par with MS sales if you're just comparing the 1st year. We all just have to wait until...

I was just wondering if you were to choose 3 PS3 games now, which would you guys choose (since this is a PS3 related issue). I've got the chance to get 3 new games for about $110 w/o any restrictions from Toysrus. So far, I've selected Uncharted, COD4 and Ratchet...... But I also really want Assassins Creed and Heavenly Sword. Please help!! LOL Please, opinions are appreciated... please consider their "replay-value" in your opinions. Thanks!

The proverbial "Flood-Gates" are open for the influx of potential PS3 buyers in 2008. X-boys and Wii-boys are starting to feel the pressure. Let's just see how this plays out before any flame-wars ignite. After all, it's good to us that all consoles do well. Competition breeds innovation. If it wasn't for PS1, we'd still be stuck with the Nintendo cartridges. PS2 further pushed that envelope and out came xbox and xbox 360. After the 360 is the PS3 and Wii. This is a good tim...

LMFAO!!! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
That's a great comment.... I hate to say it, but most Americans aren't smart consumers...... You hit it square on the nail, my friend. I wish some of these MS-boys would open their eyes and see how lousy MS has treated it's customers..... Sure both Sony and MS are money-grubbing companies looking to stuff their pockets full of our cash. The diff. is that Sony put together a QUALITY product that doesn't break down 30% of the time, while MS pu...

You know what? Let the fan-boys fight it out. While the x-boys are bashing PS3 about no games, I'll be playing Uncharted and Ratchet on my PS3 and Mass Effect and.... oh yeah.... just Mass Effect on my 360. WTF is the problem here? Freakin' fan-tarts. STFU and just play games man... flame-boys are people that sit at their parents basements with nothing to do until your mom calls you up to take out the trash.

I"m a little upset that this game doesn't come out in the US until Feb. 2008. By that time GTA4 and Little Big Planet will be out, or soon be out.... right? This blows.

I really don't see a problem with Sony selling well, just like I don't see why there's a problem with the Wii or 360 selling well either. This is great competition for consumers. The prices keep going down and we keep getting great games. What's the problem? Fanboys are tarts.

anybody see the deal at KBtoys where ENTIRE video games are buy 1 get 1 free??? OMG..... if that's true.... it's quite a deal. imagine, Assassins Creed, COD4, Bioshock, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Mass Effect....... the list goes one... wonder if they have these in stock?

That's a stupid analogy. I can say the same thing. How many people lives in China? 1.5 billion people, how many people live in N. America? 515 million people. WTF? Last time I checked Sony is outselling xbox in China and even in Europe. Not to mention Australia. Where did you take your stat classes?
By your explanation, the 120 million PS2 sold isn't even half of the population in the N. America. Silly fanboys, go back and take Stat/Probability 101 in college please. It's v...

that's a silly thing to say.
The Japanese will love whoever makes a "quality" product. Right now, MS just isn't making it yet. I hope MS does, competition is what drives innovation. I can't wait until the next gen. comes out.

pushing Christianity in the Middle East or Asia.... Some will convert, but the majority of the people will still be Buddhist or Islamic.....
The funny thing is... Japan isn't the only major player in the gaming dept.

MS hasn't even begin to scratch the surface for Korea (where 90% + of the population has highspeed internet connection and games like crazy). I don't even need to start on the Southeast Asian countries..... Than, there's the BOHOMETH market of China......

how does someone disagree with your statement?? I'm baffled by that......

But go for the Sony 1080p xbr4.... that's the real nice one. But the sharp and samsung are nice also. you can get a 40-46 inch for close to $1000-$1500 US. Supposedly, the price of LCD will drop another 30% after this year..... Can't wait until the OLED's comes out......
