Dropping $50 mil to Rockstar for a couple of GTA4 episodes is a waste of money.
Dropping $150 mil to Paramount/Dreamworks to deliver the biggest blow to Blu-ray... priceless.
Take note, Microsoft.
That means Avatar: The Last Airbender will be HD-DVD exclusive!
That means Avatar: The Last Airbender will be HD-DVD exclusive!
that means Avatar: The Last Airbender will also be HD-DVD exclusive!!!
He has Optimus Prime as his icon, and now Michael Bay has announced in his official blog that Transformers will be HD-DVD exclusive.
I've seen over 70 movies this year -- all 2007 movies. I can tell you that neither of those titles are "must have" or "best" movies of the year.
Transformers are prolly the only great action SUMMER titles this year, but Michael Bay has just announced on his official blog that Transformers will be on only HD-DVD and DVD.
The one title I personally look forward to is Stardust - but now it'll be on HD-DVD exclusively.
and they will be getting support from Paramount/Dreamworks, exclusively, for AT LEAST (not "at most") the next few years... more likely more.
"at most" connotes that it's timed, not "at least".
"at least" vs. "at most" -- they have the complete opposite meanings. I think the words Sony fanboys are hoping to hear should be "at most", not "at least," so they deliberate confuse between the two.
Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Live Free or Die Hard are must have titles?? They're kidding me.
Both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are being investigated in Europe for "anti-competitive" business practices because of the studios choosing one side over the other. If Blu-ray can't win this format war before EU conclude its investigation, then I think EU will decide that both camps are in fact using anti-competitive practices by releasing videos in one format but not the other, and then Disney, Fox, Universal, and Paramount will have to release videos in both HD media. After that, the US ...
Now that Paramount AND Dreamworks have joined Universal and gone HD-DVD exclusive, the odds have been evened.
Do you want Dreamworks' Transformers in HD? Then you'll have to get HD-DVD.
They are now HD-DVD exclusive. That means you'll be able to get Transformers only on HD-DVD.
You may google the news.
Now I can get it on HD-DVD.
Great movie, BTW.

won multiple Game of the Year awards for the respective years they came out.
for Mass Effect to come out. That game will change everything.
All previous Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire games have NEVER been ported over to Playstation. So, Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire are native, authentic, original Xbox IPs.
So, you can't say putting Knights of the Old Republic III and Jade Empire II on the RPG wish list as "a Xbox site drooling over PlayStation format titles."
For all you Sony fangirls that are littering in this thread, may I remind you that all previous Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire games are native and original Xbox IPs... THAT HAVE NEVER BEEN PORTED TO PLAYSTATION, EVER.
you're a Sony or PS3 fangirl.
Of course, all those redundant Blu-ray and 300 posts are not annoying as long as they're hyping Sony and PS3.
I think we'll see more "good" news coming from HD-DVD over the next few weeks. It seems to me that Microsoft/Toshiba/HD-DVD have timed all the good news so they'd come altogether one after another like an onslaught.
and then Blu-ray will react in the next wave.
and then HD-DVD...
