because Gears of War got hammered for offering only 9 to 11 hours of gameplay in campaign mode, and Lair has even shorter 6 to 8 hours. Gears of War's saving grace is that it has spectacular multiplayer so people do not feel rip off by the short campaign at $60.

If Lair lasts only 6-8 hours, has no or mediocre multiplayer modes, and costs $50 to $60, seriously people will cry foul. (People who are not complete PS3 fanboys, that is.) Do you want to pay $50 to $60 for an 8-hou...

Puhlease. EGM is one of the most reputable, oldest, most trusted magazines in the business. It's founded back in 1989, BEFORE there was a Playstation, BEFORE gaming was a big business, BEFORE most of you were even born. It's been in the business for 18 years, OLDER than most of you whiny puppies out there.

Just because it gives a low review score to a PS3 game does not mean it's biased. The only biased people here are all you pathetic fanboys out there who want to bring dow...

Some images are missing from here: the 2nd image on page 1 in the article, the last image on page 2, everything on pages 3-7. In fact, the missing images are the really nice ones.

Now check out this beauty:

The graphic has gotten a HUGE improvement since the infamous beta disappointment. The lighting and texture seem so much richer - WOW. And unlike other "mud games", Halo 3 has colors!

it will come out much later than Halo 3.

If Halo 3 has some cool features and gameplay, Killzone 2 will just copy them (no, there's nothing wrong with that -- games copy from each other) and then offer other features that are not in Halo 3.

Killzone 2 will have a lot of time after Halo 3 comes out to make comparison and specific improvements and enhancements.

It's like comparing Halo 2 to Resistance... it's stupid because Halo 2 came out almost 2 ...

The point here is PS1 and PS2 dominated the market. PS3 won't for this generation. For PS3 to dominate this generation, it should have been selling 3 to 4 times better than PS2... like Wii.

I think regardless of what fanboys say, Wii is here to stay and dominate for this generation. My guess is that Xbox 360 and PS3 will end up splitting the remaining market shares -- probably near to 50/50. The downside to that 50/50 split is that we'll be hearing and reading from all thes...

They have not bought 360 since they last played Halo 2 on the old Xbox.

I know a couple of people who are waiting for Halo 3 to buy Xbox 360. In fact, they ONLY want to play Halo, and they are not even real gamers. In fact, they have never touched their original Xbox other than playing Halo and Halo 2 -- those were the ONLY two games they played, and they did not buy another game after Halo 2. I personally don't like the Halo series, so I don't understand the appeal. My gue...

I notice something else - not just that Bioshock was not #1 on the chart as larry007 would like us to ONLY see. I've just found out that Xbox 360 and its titles, along with Nintendo, are dominating Amazon's bestseller chart. Sony and Playstation have fallen far behind on the chart. Wow. I hadn't even realize that until larry007 brought it to my attention.

At the time of writing this:

Amazon's Video Game Bestsellers:
1. Nintendo Wii
2. Bioshock (Xbox 3...

he "accidentally" (?) reveals that sub-$200 HD-DVD standalone players are coming this year in a few months.

How would he know?

I guess some Paramount exec, in order to calm down an irritated Michael Bay, revealed some insider information to him to explain their decision to pick HD-DVD. I'm just going to make a bold guess here based on what I deduced from his blog entry: the sub-$200 price point is an important selling point that the HD-DVD camp used to ...

"1.Knocked Up: While it was a surprise summer hit, Judd's other movie SuperBad had a stronger opening this week and it belongs to Sony."

SuperBad is a hit precisely because of Knocked Up. SuperBad is riding the success of Knocked Up.

"3.America Gangster: Now this one is big, I can't argue about that but its an R rated drama and not the biggest seller."

Ridley Scott's Gladiator is rated R as well -- and a big DVD seller. In fact, R...

Silicon Knights did not win the "Best of the Show" at E3, and now they are whining about it. Please.

Microsoft has seriously made a big mistake in getting involved with Silicon Knights. Silicon Knights have yet to make a game for Microsoft, yet I read they have already spent $80 mil of Microsoft, (WTF was Microsoft thinking?), repeated delivered unimpressive and underwhelming trailers and demos, and gotten themselves involved in a lawsuit. They are a liability.

I'm not sure if Knocked Up is worth owning, but it's a surprise hit.

Most of Universal's blockbuster will be coming AFTER summer, actually:

The Kingdom (action flick, FBI investigators trapped in Saudi Arabia, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Chris Cooper)

American Gangster (Denzel Washington vs. Russell Crowe, black mafia vs. white mafia, directed by Ridley Scott)

Leatherheads (George Clooney, Renée Zellweger)

Charl...
