This is just phucking great. I submitted this very same story hours before this one was submitted, but Sony fanboys approved this one and completely bypassed my earlier submission (which got here first) because this one has negative spin.

Relatively speaking, European values are much, much closer to American than Japanese to American. The types of games Europeans make, play and prefer are also much closer to the types of games American make, play and prefer: they are all "Western" games. Think X-Com (UK), the Longest Journey (Norway), Gothic (Germany). They are all European games that were way more popular in the US than in Japan.
It makes sense for Microsoft to go after the Europea...

I know some hardcore Halo fans who play *only* Halo and nothing else... and they still have not gotten their Xbox 360 yet.
At the same time, there a guy who played BioShock at my house and had just gotten his own Xbox 360. (Although I told him not to buy one and that he could just come over to my place and play through the whole game... because people should not buy a console for just one game.)
Rupert Murdoch is also much hated in the US... he's the person responsible for helping George Bush Jr. got elected as the US president in the first place.
