Microsoft mentioned Halo Wars and Alan Wake because those two games were supposed to come out in 2008, and the publisher is Microsoft.
Mass Effect was never meant to come out this year. It was planned for 2009 or 2010.

I got BANNED on the BioWare forums because I asked if Mass Effect or Dragon Age would come to the PS3. I had posted only ONE message in the forum.
BioWare staff got so sick and tired of the rumors that they have a strict policy: any PlayStation fanboy (which I'm obviously not but they think I'm one) who goes into the forums and asks/suggests that Mass Effect or Dragon Age will/should come to the PS3 get a ban immediately. Ask/say it three times and you get a *permanent* ban.

Hello? It's known for a long time that Mass Effect 2 won't be out in 2008.
The earliest Mass Effect will be out is in 2009.
And given that BioWare does not have any internal staff that knows how to program for the PS3 and hasn't put up any ad to hire people to code for the PS3, I don't expect BioWare to make anything for the PS3 soon.

If you say Western RPG does not have good story, then you obviously have not played Baldur's Gate II, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect.
Or, Planescape: Torment, which is generally recognized as having the BEST story in ANY RPG. Period.
