that when PSN allows for video downloads that DIVX will be supported on the PSP and PS3 jointly.

1...the big point of the most recent PS3 update is that you DONT have to set your PS3 to be in Remote Play status in order to access it with the PSP. If fact your PS3 can be shut off. (the first Remote Play settings shown in the video accomplish this)

2...this is the EASY part of remote play. How about showing the problems that arise trying to do this over internet if you don't have the knowledge to open ports on your router?

and the fact that SONY continues to add new functions to it well after I bought it is awesome.

try Firefox...it has built in spell check.

Red Kawa Media Server and File Server are no longer under development. The Video Converter programs (such as PS3 Video 9) they have work well but do not do what a Media Server such as Tversity does.

Ubi said that it was delayed until the first quarter of 2008. Just because some dumbass websites and stores think it is Jan doesn't mean it EVER was.

A...I love the smell of no news being reported as news.

And btw it IS a timed exclusive ... SONY themselves confirmed this in November (slip up) regardless of Free Radicals denials. Take a look at Free Radicals FAQ page...they out and out deny a Wii version but do NOT deny that a 360 version is in the pipeline. ...

It is an added feature that is welcome.

episodic content isn't 'included' with the X version either.

a. it comes later as downloads

b. you are going to be paying for it...it isn't 'inlcuded' in the price.

Many files traded on the internet or ripped from DVD at home are put into DIVX or XVID format (file ends in .avi).

Now, if you have those files you can see them under VIDEO on your PS3 menu (called the XMB) and play them.

I generally like Gizmodo but they are WAY off base here. Just because they have bit packed XviD files they declare Xvid files not to work? Hello...learn your codecs.

The Gizmodo = Kotaku relationship (ass reporting in other words) is more clear today.

In game music and XMB are already possible...SONY doesn't FORCE it on developers so alot of them are choosing not to implement it.

Once again...pirates screw up a good thing...hopefully future card based games will use RFID and an RFID reader in the mat.

would work.I'm not aware of ANY..they generally need an OS like Windows/Linux.

You will need a wireless bridge hooked to the ethernet port just like the PS2.

Bullshit...I said it before this guy.

As for BD...he's right.
