Microsoft needs to buy sony now, having two consoles on the market that are effectively the same does not make much sense. UX does not change much.

I was hoping that they would release standalone controllers for the old psvr to maintain compatibility and userbase. The current headset tracks great, looks ok just needs those controllers updated. Oh, and an adapter to skip the silly processor box on ps5.
it does need to push high quality graphics in vr again. abandoning rift was a mistake.
Needs color passthrough for AR.
and there are many examples how it is holding back the generation and under performing.
I think $35 per month with game pass if you do not have a gaming pc is the best option. Seems to be scalper proof.

Seems the xbox series x is very easy to get when behind a monthly fee and subscription. Or they are doing other magic sauce to deter scalpers.
$200 is reasonable, which was always the target per oculus.

velocity uses ssd's but the game does not require that. so unlikely.
