Everything in the trailer looks more detailed than in the alpha which makes people wonder how much they improved for the final product.
Anyone noticed that the HUD is also different? I been looking closely and spotting all the differences in both versions.
Knowing about the resolution and fps is an important factor to see that the game is being optimized very well and also know you're getting the performance you couldn't get last gen. Fun gameplay will always be more up there than amazing graphics but it doesn't hurt to get both or am I wrong? If you know the game looks really fun and then learn it will run flawlessly and/or look beautiful, then it's most likely going to be a top tier game in it's genre.
@Godmars290
There's a huge difference between forcing every game you play to be online dependent and making it optional...so you can have both if you choose to. PlayStation Now isn't meant to replace physical discs, but to let people play their favorite PS3/PS2/PS1 games anywhere they want to. If you were right, PS Now would of also included PS4 games but remember...this is also giving the PS4 the ability to play old games, that was the main focus in the beginning but...
The majority don't want a console to "fail" as competition is good for the consumer. It leads to their console of choice to get a lot of new games to secure that first place in sales. The way I see it, all these articles are generated so it can help Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo understand why their console is loved and hated, sparking ideas on where to improve it. So far, Microsoft needs to do a lot of improving, mostly in the PR department because it seems like they keep dodging a l...
That's why the PS4 is dominating and will continue to do so as long as Sony keeps their composure, releases a lot of exclusives, and keeps it 100% with us. I don't think I'll ever buy an Xbox One due to what you just said, Microsoft keeps acting like gamers are stupid. If you understand fair logic, then you also understand Microsoft only opens their mouths when their needs to be damage control, they can't admit their console is inferior in one way or another. With that kind of...
Don't think that's a big problem, as there were more exclusives on PS2 and PS3 then there were with an Xbox console. This time with PS4 being the console of this generation, there's going to be more developers on it, especially PC developers being able to easily port it's game into the PS4 console. It might just be the PS2 all over again...
Not in the eyes of hardcore Xbox fanboys like truefan1 and JokesOnYou. (Look at their comments above on how pathetic they look trying so hard to spin the truth around.)
@Brutallyhonest
Just looked at the pics in the link you posted and only the idiots would dismiss it and say there's no difference. There's a huge downgrade from pre-release and release Forza 5. Look at the lighting, the most obvious change then you can see the less sharp car...also the colors are worse.

Not sure if you know this but Blu-ray, DVD, and CD playback are also in the media category. You also have Netflix which the PS4 does better in according to tests mentioned in the article.
Prefer 720p/60fps since I play more competitive online and fast paced games. 1080p/30fps does gives that cinematic feel though with that slight motion blur and we're used to it with watching movies but it feels a little sluggish with fast paced shooters and action games.
If it held no difference then why aren't developers lowering everything to 720p/30fps and using the extra power for something else in the game? There is a difference, but you won't really see it if you have a small TV to game on and sit 20 feet away. And 60fps really matters in action/racing/fighting games, you'll be able to lock your eyes on fast moving objects much easier.

lol I find that completely funny because I remember Insomniac was constantly being bashed by Xbox fanboys for Resistance and Ratchet and Clank last gen. Now they're being praised because they're making an exclusive for the Xbox One? What kinda shit is that... lol "Oh, let's pit them against Sucker Punch even though they're close friends and worked with each other! Also their games are completely different. =p" And I wouldn't base anything on a CGI trailer, you ne...

You should read Lukas_Japonicus's post, but make sure you have some heart burn medicine next to you before doing so because the truth is about to hurt.
"Overall, PlayStation 4 takes the lead where the next-gen consoles are concerned, with the higher quality effects work and higher frame-rates providing a preferable experience overall, particularly during heated combat, where the drops in performance are both felt and seen more heavily o...
That made no sense...for many reasons actually and is very contradictory. Don't all the Xbox fanboys praise Ryse for it's graphics and not it's repetitive gameplay? I think it can go both ways so don't give that, "Xbox fanboys are angels with a halo, get it, get it? I said halo" bullshit I always see. And not every gamer out there bought Tomb Raider, unless there's 80+ million copies on PS3 and 360 each.
We're in the age where there's peo...
Plus reading the article, it says that Tomb Raider sold 50% of it's copies on the 360 and 42% on PS3. So there are a more Playstation gamers that missed out. And don't say 160 million bought the game last gen, that's foolish. There will always be a gamer that hasn't played this game yet till later on when the price drops.
I'm actually one of the people that hasn't played the game yet and picking it up on the PS4 when I can.
@come_bom
This is the part where I use logic to explain why your reasoning isn't correct.
1. "PS4 has more consoles sold then the X1."
That doesn't mean anything as other games don't go by that rule. Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts didn't sell twice as much on the PS4 than the Xbox One because it sold more consoles. PS4 versions did sell more but not by a very large margin like Tomb Raider.
2....
For some reason, the Xbox fanboys like to keep talking about how the PS4 has no games and it's getting pathetic. Trust me, once you pick up a PS4 and look at the online store, there's a lot to buy and enjoy till Infamous: SS, Drive Club, and PlanetSide 2 come out. That's 3 games coming out in a few months, Xbox One only has Titanfall and what else? Yea, that's what I thought...
Then with those 3 titles and indie games coming out for the PS4, that's enough...
Can't wait to see someone blindly come out and say, "but the developers aren't used to the Xbox One yet" when the same thing can apply to the PS4. The truth is that the PS4 will always do better with multi-platform games which will also make consumers get the superior version. I remember when Call of Duty: Ghosts had the 720p problem on the Xbox One and a few articles surfaced about people cancelling their Xbox One pre-orders just for that.
@TomShoe
Well said, just what I was thinking when I read the title.
And they're also completely different, not in competition with each other like BF and CoD.
I agree with Septic, I mean...don't we all want to see right through the eyes of the character we play without the borders around our TVs? We play video games to put ourselves in the worlds created and we become them, the characters we play as. To me, it's more than just a gimmick, it's a powerful device that lets us really feel like we're in the game, what it's like to be living somewhere else than here.
The experiences will differ with each game, improvi...
