They tried offering something for the casual market with the Move for a while and it failed. I don't think Sony has to do both hardcore and casual to succeed. So far, they didn't package the camera with the PS4 and they just broke 5mil sales. They'll do just fine as long as they promise to dish out many exclusives through it's lifespan. Following what the 360 did in the beginning but not almost completely stopping for some gimmick and they'll get a lot of their market shar...
Another reason why Microsoft shifted from the hardcore to the casual was because Kinect Adventures sold over 20mil in it's lifespan since 2010.

It became the Xbox 360's best selling exclusive which also explains why the Kinect was forcefully added on to the Xbox One due to that. They want more casual games like that because they know it brings in th...
Sorry, but DirectX has no real advantage over using OpenGL.
http://blog.wolfire.com/201...
DirectX is now easier to design for since a lot of PC developers are already used to it since it comes with Windows but OpenGL is actually more powerful. The PS3 used OpenGL and the only complaint we seen from it was from the cell processor being hard to develop for.
I know where you're getting at but there's a difference between stating the obvious and talking about how they can improve sales and then talking about something without knowledge of how it works and blindly "predicting" it's not going to work out.
Sony is doing a good job at putting games out for their PS Plus subscribers so we're pretty sure that they know how to put games and other entertainment on their other services. PS Now will start out slow ...

Not most of the gamers need to give in for a company to keep putting these practices in the games they make. If a million copies get sold and only 50,000 of those million buy these shortcuts and power ups, then they'll keep putting them in if it keeps making them some extra money. The "don't buy them if you don't support them" saying makes for a lazy argument as these practices potentially can effect every other buyer and then spread like wild...
A small brief physical appearance of Cole would be better as it would hint that he's still alive and keep it a mystery till the next game.
We could see Delsin in trouble within a boss battle on his knees dying as it rains heavily and a random powerful lighting strike knocks the boss out, and that's all you get, leaving fans thinking if that was Cole's doing or not.
Other ways is if the electric powers do become available in Infamous: Second Son. A...
Drake takes things serious when it needs to be serious. For example when Jeff the cameraman from Uncharted 2 gets shot and he needs to carry him to safety...he doesn't crack any jokes throughout that chapter and shows a completely different side of him. I never see him as trying to be "cool" and more like he just has a confident and sometimes cocky personality with a good sense of humor but is also very caring about his close friends.
Honestly, we like Nathan Dr...

lol This is the same way Microsoft explains it to the fanboys to make it more exciting and believable:

"You just don't get it because you're not smart enough." lol
It's very doubtful the Xbox One will ever match the graphical power of the PS4 while outputting 1080p native resolution. And for every multiplatform game that runs 1080p on both consoles, there are details missing on the Xbox One version and also using shortcuts to maintain a good fps. If you think about it, we should be seeing 1080p games right in the beginning just like last gen with 720p. So far, the Xbox One is not able to do 1080p with graphical intensive games like Ryse and why is D...
lol That's exactly what I thought. I'm noticing Microsoft's PR changing it to match Sony's now after E3. It's getting really pathetic because they been following Sony's decisions with all those 180s. I guess Sony will be farther ahead in the competition, leading the pack even when it comes to slogans now. lol
And Ryse wasn't developed "for gamers" as it's gameplay lacked any depth. Maybe for people that like watching cinematics but no...
Well said, the story should be longer than 2 hours at that price. I'm sure there will be a lot of replay value collecting new weapons, equipment, and doing missions where it's different every time but that still doesn't justify the main part of the game which everyone buys for, the story. They don't know how many times do games get ridiculed for having a $60 price tag for a 4-6 hour single player story.
Seems like money grabbing if you think about it. I wouldn...
Really hoping for another Syphon Filter. I think it's time that we get a new one, it's been since 2007.
The guys at Sony Bend do have a lot of talent. They also made Resistance: Retribution which was a great experience for a handheld. Not sure why they didn't get to develop Resistance: Burning Skies for the Vita which was turned into a mediocre game by Nihilistic Software.
I expect great things coming from Sony Bend, can't wait for more info....
Titanfall does have a lot potential to break down many barriers. Hopefully it brings a lot of innovation with it's formula to let it top CoD and raise that bar. It does look like another CoD with mechs but at the same time, it's good for competition as it's doing something CoD developers never had the balls to do...which is to expand and really change the battlefield. Hope that it gives new ideas like for example having a great leveling system like CoD4 did with unlocking weapons ...
The problem with Games with Gold can be asked in a question, how many times do you actually pick up an old game after finishing it? Not much compared to being excited to playing a game that is really good and came out a year or 2 back. Do you prefer keeping your games and play those the next month or play the games as you get them but they are newer? Think about it, as you're subscribed, you download the latest games given. I'm not gonna subscribe and miss out with older games that I ...
Glad Sony is standing with indie developers to make games and help them shine. Giving them freedom to express their creativity and not feel the pressure to meet dead lines or follow stressful guidelines are always a plus. Not sure what goes on with Microsoft though. At one point, they used to be on top when it came to indie games but their corporate greed only let them focus on what's hot or what makes the most money. I know business is business, money needs to be made but why choose the ...
All you have to do is show them this chart and they'll shut up about the "no gamez" bullshit being spewed from desperation.
http://www.spawnfirst.com/w...
And if they don't shut up about it then they have nothing else better to do which is even more pathetic.
Same here and according to the article they showed 40 minutes worth of gameplay which excites me that we'll eventually see a big piece of The Order: 1886 on February 18th or a bit after.
"The game will officially receive new footage and info after the embargo lifts on 18th February."
Wearing "the golden mustache of the messiah" makes every enemy and friendly, male and female, have mustaches and bow down to you.
Yea, it all depends on the quality but I also doubt it will be really expensive if they want this to be more successful than 3DTVs. I'm expecting somewhere in the $250-400 range and later on they can release more advanced models which will cost more but give better resolution or more realistic/vibrant colors. Biggest advice for Sony is to start with something very affordable first since I believe a lot of people are skeptical and don't wanna spend a lot for something that might or mig...
I live in Chicago myself (Back of the Yards) and I don't see any of the $400 priced PS4s anywhere. Maybe I'm not lucky enough to be there the day they're put on stock but from retailers, they told me they go out in less than an hour.
