Skyrim require the Internet even if it is just once as I couldn't play it when I 1st bought it because Internet services were not offered in my area and I needed to connect to Steam.
Edit: Have people forgotten what an offline game is? It means never connected or require to use the Internet at all to play/work. Not having Internet and buying games, you quickly find out what an offline game is because otherwise you couldn't play it.
@Json
"Requiring the internet to DOWNLOAD a single player game is a lot different that requiring the internet to PLAY a single player only game. (IE, no multi-player or co-op)"
Internet=Online
No its not, they both require the Internet. one just needs the connection consistently and the other only needs a connection once for the download. An offline game means acquiring and playing a game without ever requiring the Internet. I didn&...

I fear that BC is gone forever since they revealed PS Now. They could have still had this service but made it for there TV, Vita and Mobile.
I think that greed had something to do with it but also all the fans who were defending the issue with taking out/not including BC. I would have paid more for a premium PS4 that had BC.
I have only turned on my PS4 once in the last month I think, maybe twice but my PS3 is turned on daily. Whic...
My biggest problem with the PS4 is that it does not offer true backwards compatibility. Then not being able to see my trophies while offline.
@Json
Can you buy Indie games in the brick and mortar stores? I asked because I haven't looked at the PC selection in a while. When I do make it in there I always seem to see that they require the Internet.
No matter how many Indies games are on PC, it doesn't matter if they are all digital as that means they are not really an offline game. As you had to be online at least once to buy it.
Ya there are not enough details because the way I understood it was it was going to be like a Netflix for games so in turn wouldn't that just make most titles on the PS Store available? Like shows on Netflix are usually only a season behind, so the newer titles would start showing up a year after.
I think PS Now does mess with PS+ a bit because I see PS Now as being the Netflix of games(from the way I understood it) and no matter what games are offered in PS+ wouldn't they already be on PS Now?
Do PCs even get offline games anymore? I mean the last time I went shopping for a PC game they all had internet required on the back of there box. Then you have most people using an online service like Steam
After thinking more on it, a new tier sounds right because all the PS+ titles should already be available to stream with PS Now.
Was this a console exclusive until now? Anyways this was a fun game alone or with co-op. The "High Five" move made me laugh.
"“We need to look at that. It’s all part of the model – this will be another subscription so we need to look at how Plus plays into that. We haven’t made a decision yet.”
Sounds like they will either bump up the price of plus and include this service or have different tiers of plus
This game is getting shady. I'm surprised the NDA is still in effect so close to launch. I have only heard the MMO crowd say good things about this game. They have a chance to be next big MMO but I don't think they won over a lot of The Elder Scrolls crowd.
I like everything Elder Scrolls but this game looks and feels to MMOish to me to be a TES game. I would have bought the game to hold me over until The Elder Scrolls 6 but with the more and more of the beta I see...
I liked FC3(one of my favorite games this gen) and BD but I didn't like FC2. Never played the original. Still not really a bad collection for 39.99 if you haven't played the series
I think the online required trophies should also be canned. I usually skip the multiplayer online trophies if the game was a single player franchise like AC, Uncharted, RDR, GTA, Hitman, TR and so on. I feel getting the required multiplayer online trophies in a single player focused game, as acceptance for them. Since Developers can access your trophy list.(For example Sucker Punched used the Infamous trophies to see what ending should be cannon for Infamous SS.) If more and more people skip...
Hope this is not true. I also find it a bit hard to believe "We have learned that the only thing that is finished is the Snowdrop Engine that powers the game. Very little of the adventure or game world has been built." because the gameplay demo during E3 seemed to be more than just that.
There are other things that bothered me, there is now a level requirement for weapons and armor, so if you happen to get a lucky score and get some great gear you can't wear it until you reach the X level. There is a chance monsters will spawn on you if your running a few mins behind the last guy who killed them. Only NPCs I noticed were quest givers, so no populated towns like Whiterun from what I seen.
My friends and I want coop as well but we think that this game has a...
@Foxtrot
The TES games are my most cherished games, same with my friends and we love how the story makes you out to be the hero but what is the difference if your follower is AI controlled or human controlled? You are still the hero. You come across as you think that would be taken away, we are not talking about having 2 Dragonborns in Skyrim for example. I know we would not use co-op a whole lot but we would rather that than a bunch of followers, most of which are useless on...
@Foxtrot
Why are you so against co-op in an TES game?
The only difference I can see with having co-op in a TES game would be your follower would be your friend instead of some stupid A.I. What is so bad about that? It doesn't change the game and if you wanted to play alone, you could play alone.
Edit: I don't mind if you PM me :)
I recently seen some beta footage and I have to say I am not impressed. People are waiting for the chest to spawn in the middle of a dungeon, so you have no luck of grabbing that chest and move further into the next part of the dungeon and guess what, more people waiting for the next chest to spawn treasure. Chests just say empty unless you decide to wait up to 15mins. That doesn't feel like a TES game to me.
It is a very good game and brought back some great memories. I thought the game was very well done. The High Five Bro move alone made it a worthy experience.
