You know what I think happened?
The guy made a Resident Evil fanfiction where he created some random main character that is stronger than all the other RE characters and have the story focus around her (like many other shitty fanfics.)
He just so happened to have the ability and production value to make these fanfics into movies.
Eh... Mortal Kombat wasn't bad in the sense that he atleast made it fairly accurate and stayed somewhat true to the source material.

If you're talking about graphically, then the Xbox 360 port had nothing to do with it.
If anything, I would blame the fact that Tekken 6 came out in arcades in 2007 and it took 2 years for Namco to port it to consoles with no major updates (aside from it being the Bloodline Rebellion version and the bland story mode).
You know what other kind of levels suck?
Sewer Levels.
With the exception of Turtles in Time I have yet to play a Sewer level that wasn't frustrating.
A prime example is Beavis and Butt-Head on the Sega Genesis.

Rare did attempt to make Goldeneye an Xbox Live Arcade download, long before Perfect Dark HD. But since Activision now owns the Bond license, along with failed negotiations with Nintendo and Microsoft, it was never meant to be.
Seeing that Pefect Dark HD did come out however, I blame no Goldeneye HD on Activision.
If you're able to play Japanese PS2 games, try out Garouden Breakblow: Fist or Twist. You might enjoy it.
Meanwhile, Deadly Premonition gets a 7.
That's something I've always noticed with IGN. No matter how good the graphics are to a game, if the game itself gets a bad review then the graphics wont be rated high at all.
For example, Lair got a 4.something and the graphics were given a 7, despite the fact that (at the time) it was one of the most beautiful games out there.
I bet you if FFXIV was an actual good game with the same graphics, we'd be seeing graphics rated somewhere in the 9'...
Seeing that it released on the 360 for $20, I doubt the PS3 version would be any different.
I haven't played the demo yet (Red Ring and Yellow Light has plagued my systems) but I do know that there will be commentary in the actual game.

The zombies are in Yakuza: Of the End (Yakuza 5), so it's not this one.
If anything, when Yakuza 4 goes to America and Europe, Japan will get Yakuza 5, so we'll have atleast another year or so before we get to kill zombies with Kazuma.
