Having to upgrade every year is a common misconception when it comes to PC gaming. Most games today can still be run on a 3 year old medium spec gaming PC on decent settings and still look better the console counterparts of the same games. The hardware may be 3 years old but it's still 2/3 years newer than a current gen console.
That's a great list. Omega Boost, LoD, Tenchu, and Onimusha are some of my favorite games/franchises and I've been waiting for ZOE3 for too damn long now. Kojima, WTF man?
Who the hell cares. Both consoles and PCs bring something great to the table at the end of the day. Each platform shines in areas that the other doesn't so Im not picking sides, I'm enjoying both.
Imo even though they both are considered RPGs, western and eastern rpgs should be categorized separately. They're just too different to compare.
1. Greed
2. DLC that costs money
3. Split screen games becoming scarce
4. Actual expansion packs becoming scarce
5. Rushed Sequels
6. Catering to the mainstream and casualizing games
7. Not enough JRPGs
8. Not enough Mech games
9. Not enough japanese games in general
10. Garbage console ports being released on the PC. If you're gonna do it, please do it right.
I guess most of these actually fall in l...
As much as I love the Marvel vs Capcom series, I'm not buying into Capcom's greedy tactics. I might be missing out on some good content, but "i aint no sucka, i aint no fool."
Kojima announce ZOE3 already please!
Games with silent characters in general and dialogue bubbles have an old school feel to them that makes them somewhat unique and uncommon in gaming today. Maybe I just dont want to see a potentially good game ruined with terrible voice acting.
Hopefully it has that Mass Effect 1/ Empire Strikes Back feel and not that Mass Effect 2/ Attack of the Clones feel. Not that they weren't great, they just didn't have that "adventure" atmosphere imo.
I hate when games end up region exclusives. I guess that's a damn good reason to learn another language and just import them.
Was going to get this game off of Steam a while back when it was on sale, but decided not for some reason. Guess I'll get from PSN now.
Im pretty sure it'll release with bugs like previous Bethesda games but it seems like they were pretty good with releasing patches frequently in New Vegas' case.
Seems like they (CD Projekt) paid extra attention to what the distribution contract entailed. Great game, a must buy for fans of the WRPG genre imo.
I just recently finished AC: Brotherhood and it got me thinking about this. Well sort of, I actually like how the Assassin's Creed games do open world gameplay. No game made me feel like I was actually living in another world but Oblivion though. I swear I literally spent weeks playing that game WITHOUT any mods.
Some open world games just aren't filled with enough content these days like GTA4. Going to current gen Liberty City was a let down compared to what San Andr...
SNES is definitely my favorite Nintendo console. I emulate SNES games more than I play the Wii. The N64 was also a great console with some of the most memorable games in gaming history. Damn the nostalgia's kicking in.
If you wanna get technical, the PSP isn't even a "dedicated handheld device" with its music/video player, web browser, comics, skype, etc. Nice try Dr. Jong-seok Park.
It's called a lan party, but I see your point. It sucks because more and more games these days are losing split-screen multiplayer.
Love games with any ounce of stealth involved. Def wanna hear more on this one.
You forgot the /s
Dont know if it'll come true, but if it did who knows how it could affect MS from a business standpoint. Less consoles sold, but higher software sales. Imo they've really been sleeping on the PC platform this gen. With the experience and resources they have they can do so much more than GFWL, but then again the same could be said about the Zune platform. Seems they're blind when it comes to finding untapped potential.
