I'm surprised people haven't considered Blu Ray for SD content that's spread on multiple DVDs like TV shows, old movie collections e.t.c. Can you imagine putting all of that content on one disc! When you also consider the fact that Blu Ray costs the same to produce as regular DVDs its really a no brainer. And yes it DOES COST THE SAME AS REGULAR DVDs! Just look up:

Nah its the PS2 which has the greatest library of RPGs. That's the reason its trouncing both the 360 and the PS3 in sales! And to be brutally honest the RPGs that have been released so far on this gen of platforms are awful! Where did all the major JRPG developers and franchises go for 07/08? Probably developing for the handhelds I guess.

Did anyone else find the frame rate awful for GeOW for the cutscenes? I just played the bit where they are getting to the "junker" and the movie shortly after the Gas station sequence is stuttering. You do realise that FF is being developed first for PS3 right? It's also being released first in Japan on PS3! It's optimised for PS3 and uses most of it's advantages including blu ray! Have fun a year later when it's finally released with multiple disks that aren't even optimised for Dolby 7.1 surround and a proper 1080p display on your Xbox! Why should sony drop the price on the PS3? They still have the PS2 and PSP! lol they could undercut both the 360 and Wii. Imagine if they cut the price of the PS2 to $99 and with their current library and the new games being released for it (yes games are still being released for it e.g Madden, Force Unleashed) it's the best alternative for a failing economy!
