Tbh just the improvements for PSVR would be enough to make it worth it. The huge upgrades in visual quality would be another reason for sure..
I agree...if one owns a PC and a PS4/Pro/PSVR the Switch seems like the perfect complementary device. But it doesn't seem like anything I'd put before the other two. That said the gameplay I've seen of Zelda already plus the early footage of Mario Switch are almost enough reasons to own one already.
"The tech sure as hell won't be worth 300"
Considering it has touch screen, is multiplayer capable and so on I'd argue if it's truly not worth it. I still hope they'll stick to 250. It will be a huge hit if they do.
The reviews latest I checked were something like 9.3/10. Sure man, whatever you believe.
People will invest in it because they love gaming and Nintendo has consistently proven to be on the top of their game.
@TankCrossing
Being brighter would actually be a good thing but it naturally just makes the screen door more noticeable. The fresnel lenses are definitely something I'd care about though. Here it just shows Sony has decades of experience with screen and lens tech which both Oculus and Valve are lacking.
I agree on all your points. I also agree the controllers to be a great step in the right direction. I just wish the haptics were a bit better.
I'd really like to know how much of an technological effort it is to produce those lenses and if it's even possible for Oculus or Valve to obtain those.
I applaud them for their post release support. Second to none! Even more sad hey had to leave.
A lot of VR makes inexperienced people sick. Some sadly will never get used to it. Most do though. You have to earn your VR legs.
Of course it was rushed. They weren't even really developing it anymore. Plus there is no Pro version, sadly. What you still have to understand it's not just the 60 Fps...it's two different viewing angles for each eye due to the 3D which needs a lot more processing power.
Should have sold it at 40...and actually that's how it's sold. The game on Pro is really a sight to behold.
I'd almost feel ashamed for paying so little for that masterpiece.
That said I'm not sure I'd call the Rift premium. I'd even say it's the worst headset of all three.
I don't think they will officially fade out production but people buying it are already in the minority and it will become even less in the future.
You'll be delighted to hear that Deus Ex just has been patched and now runs flawlessly at 30 fps despite running at full 2160p at times!
Btw Digital Foundry just yesterday (before the patch was even out) put out a video in which they analysed performance and, despite what they had told earlier, they came to the conclusion it was almost always performing better on the Pro already!
You should know by know that critics ratings don't always represent the true quality of a game.
the setting was awesome but I couldn't bring myself to finish it.
Such an incredible game! Truly impressive work plus including the community and modding leaves room for creativity.
I hope they add some VR support though. Watching people drive these amazing rides on YouTube is already so much fun.
That's why VR brings long missed excitement back into gaming and that's why PSVR is selling like crazy. Gaming has become stale for a while.
Please everybody...even if it's true what they say don't click their SPAM infested articles! They are just in it for some cheap clicks!
