As someone said in another thread. Was probably Nintendo made the unboxing video. Shared the UI video and claimed the console was sent back. Easy spot light for media attention on the new console.
Because it's going to be a second console to most gamers. Doesn't give a valid reason that Nintendo don't need the 3rd party support.
Because the ps4 may give the better graphic version of a 3rd party game. Nintendo will give the portability of that title...
So it's different strokes for different folks.
If the Switch doesn't get a decent 3rd party support over the Wii U, it won't be a console I'd purchase and I bet ...
We don't need a 4th console fighting for the space under the TV.
We just need quality games (Remake Shenmue 1 and 2!)
Tried destiny when it came out grew bored after a few days.
Came back with a shared copy of the taken king, got to end game. Got bored before I could get a raid team going.
Twice I've paid full price for the same game. The content is small, and costs your 30bucks for each release.
For me, Destiny is a game I wouldn't touch if they kept making a new series (2, 3 etc)
What happened? Sony happened, they released a so so service at a very high monthly cost. Expecting people to pay over the odds for a lacking library of titles...
Should've been a £6.99/M and a lot more people would've gave it sole notice.
Should've used the same money on this service for backwards compatibility. Or rewriting code for older generation games.
I don't have to be a true fan to have an opinion. But growing up with resident evil from day one for the psx/1, and not one of those who joined the series at re4 and then call themselves a "real fan"
Re7 is a great game, that seems to over stay it's short welcome. And has this need to go back to it's routes of being a mess again.
I loved the concept of the Bakers, Jack and Margarete(?) were interesting characters. The son was less...
Seeing inside the docking station to be a usb c hub was a wrecking point in Nintendo.
90 bucks for a plastic holder with a tiny power in usb c - hdmi out is a joke.
Specs of this tablet isn't appealing either.
Wait for year 2 and see where the support is. If it has a big library I'll grab it. If not, it'll be a repeat of the Wii U.
I'd like it to do well, as I do enjoy nintendo consoles.
I kinda lost interest in resident evil after the 3rd. They started getting in to deep with a storyline that was just getting sillier and sillier.
Making weapons with viruses, turning a specific child into a ghost like weapon (a lot like f.e.a.r).
Re7 was a great game, but it felt like a small company made it then Crapcom decides "hey, we like this but let's make it a little more resident evil first."
It didn't remind me much...
I backed this on kick starter. Played the xbox games with gold edition. And yeah, it was a basic rpg with a nice graphic tone.
The story is forgettable. The farm crafting system is poor, you don't need it to play the game as the range abilities aren't much greater over standard melee. But if you progress far enough, you'll be punished for not putting the time into upgrading the seeds.
For me, I would've gone back and asked for a refund. ...
I want it to succeed, I'd love a console I could take to a friends and continue my gaming either splitscreen on the tablet. Or with a usb type c hub (power in, hdmi out).
But for it to succeed for me, it needs good 3rd party support throughout its life cycle.
I won't touch the console till Xmas this year. But may hold off.
Bought this yesterday from Smyths toy store. Second hand copy is currently £4.99, not all stores have updated the stickers yet (mine was £24.99, but scanned at £4.99, along with gears 4 at £9.99, fallout 4 is meant to be £5, and Mgs5 pp £5).
Not had chance to play it yet, was rushing through friends copy of RE7 (slightly over hyped game).
The Wii U is hackable via its Web browser.
The 3ds had a browser hack as well I believe. Now it's hackable via soundhax.
Ninte do are making sure there's no loop holes in this new console. Selling it with basic features so there is no back door.
It's a portable gaming device. It isn't an all in one device. Hell, it needs your mobile phone for voice chat. So Nintendo have hinted it's not going to replace or compete with a ...
Hopefully destiny 2 won't milk it's player Base with tiny expansion packs that offer very little but are repackaged every few months and sold at rrp.
People get disappointed when ps+ and xbox live monthly games are full of indie titles.
That Switch list had a massive handful of indie titles and mobile ports (World of goo etc).
I'm not an indie fan as most indie games tend to follow the same formula (2d side scrolling platform). This doesn't mean every indie game isn't to my liking, there's a bunch of diamonds in the rough.
Anyways, seeing a lot of those older titles being ...
The Nintendo video was horrible to watch. I'm shocked that they are a gaming company with what they showed and how they performed on stage. I couldn't watch much off it due to how silly it was.
The console is interesting. But it's not a day one purchase. It offers very little for early adopters, just like the Wii U, at least the 3ds gave out some free titles.
When the price drops to sub £200, I'll consider one.
If it wasn't the pro controller. At least the charging joy con unit should've been included.
He didn't really say much about the console, he seemed to be more impressed with the concept. Stating it's the founding steps to what could be great.
I'd rather get a case that has palm grips. I find tablets and phones difficult to hold for long periods, it's due to the closed fist issue.
It's why I never got on with the vita, hands cramp after a while, it might be a rare issue, but due to cubital tunnel syndrome, the lay out of the Switch isn't appealing for me.
I don't think the sales are all down to the change of the game. There was a youtube videos I watched where it questions the truth behind game developers. Are gamers holding off day one purchases because we've been lied to on the past.
Is the "no man sky effect" stopping people pre ordering and paying for a game at its released rrp?
I've stopped buying games day one as most games drop by £10-15 within the first month. I've s...
Was thinking the same. Who actually cares.
