Ah man and I just bought it for the PS4 two days ago. If it comes with the stick of truth as well I may consider it. But truthfully I doubt I would pick it up so soon.
If it had released on the switch before I bought it. I would've taken that console first.

People ask for 3rd party support. So some companies are porting over slightly older games to a brand new system. Then we get people questioning it like it's a bad thing.

There's no such thing as too many ports. The more of a selection for the gamer the better.
Look at the PS4 and Xbox one with these remasters of high selling titles from the past.
A lot of the switches ports are from the poor selling Wii U, which not a lot of people got 5o experience the first time around.
I'm happy to see Nintendo are re-releasing these Wii U titles. Maybe I'll pick some up this time around.
Odyssey was fun for a short while. After seeing a couple of levels it all felt the same. I waited till I got to the actually human world, it was cool to see Mario out of what we usually see him in (a cartoon world).
But the game for me felt much like classic 3d mario than anything ground breaking.

I've not used my switch in a few weeks to check the eshop, since getting some PS4 games for Xmas.
But that's great news. Bring on fallout 3 NV for the switch :)

I've not played a sonic game since the Dreamcast days. Even then it was terrible.
Sonic isn't a great 3d world platformer. Half the time the game plays it's self when you get into a section where it's all about going fast. The camera just pans by showing you loop then big jumps into more loops.
The quality of sonic has dropped. Even just viewing it from a video trailer. There's nothing that screams buy me from these sorts of games.

Also for a game that's roughly £10 on Xbox, pc and PS4. So going for the switch port is an expensive choice out of the 4.
When you release a basic skating game then continue to make the same game every year, same engine, same missions, almost same levels. Who isn't going to be bored of the franchise.
The game is an arcade skater and it's just boring to play. Believe my last Tony Hawk's game I tried was project 8 and it was terrible.

The eshop has a pretty poor category layout. Not the easiest thing to find demos, not the easiest to find set game types either. Not difficult but isn't a smooth process. Which needs tweaking.
Media apps I would still like. We do not have Hulu here in the UK. So for us, I would still enjoy having YouTube, Netflix and the likes.

A few I think needs attention.
Eshop needs an overhaul, it's a horrible layout, and finding games seems to be a pain. Go with what Sony have on their store. Basic but everything is where it needs to be.
Media apps, bring things like YouTube, Amazon video, Netflix etc. Make the switch do more than just video game.
Virtual console needs a release date.
Idea sounds cool, but looks tacky as sh*t.

I don't see how he could be right. Having the option to play media on any device is a win. If you don't need it, don't use it, should be the consumers attitude.
It should be down to us to chose if we need it or not. Shouldn't even be on a list for Nintendo to consider not to implement this feature.

That's the only thing putting me off buying switch games is that the cost is a lot higher. My only two 3rd party titles so far were Skyrim at £37, but I completed that and spend a good month+ on it. Sold it off for £35. So not bad for £2 renters fee.
