I'm not going to apologize to anyone for liking this game, or try to convince someone who doesn't. I'll just say, I've been having a great time for the most part, and would encourage anyone that hasn't given it a shot to take a chance.
What part is "unfair" again? It's a game getting railed for being inherently sloppy, short, and tedious to play. It's supposed to be a rebuke for the slap in the face that this game is. You really want this to be the game you rally behind? Seriously? It blew. I play for free, felt it cost too much. Bad game = bad review, move on.
"Polygon has scored Star Fox Zero a 0/10 because they couldn’t finish it." That's a completely disingenuous statement, and misses the point, entirely. Polygon scored Star Fox Zero 0/10 because they WOULD NOT finish it, due to the numerous faults they found and listed, articulately. This entire article is basically an angry polemic against a crappy game getting a crappy score.
As opposed to every other website, right? Every site wants clicks. I got StarFox for free and it still cost too much. Whoever decided that not being able to turn off the gyroscopic controls and play on one screen even if you want to was a good idea, they should be dragged out into the street and shot. Or worse, forced to play this debacle of a "game".
The comments here, even the ones I disagree with, are better-written than the article. Bleugh.
Damn. Nothing worse than waiting for that first review on a game you've been anticipating.... and it's a bad one.
What "issue"? I love how certain titles or subjects always bring flocks of "told ya so's" from people that refuse to read the article.
I'd kickstart that.
I just noticed that the PC version has a chat screen. Wish the PS4 did, too. Funny how you don't miss something until you realize you don't have it.
Clicking 15 times through this article is the number one thing I hated about it.
Experienced my first snowstorm last night and almost woke my wife up to show her how good it looked.
I never got much into the Rainbow Six's, and I've only played a couple of Splinter Cells, so I wasn't really paying much attention to this game, hype and all. I skipped the beta, and wasn't planning on buying it, but my wife happened to get it free at her job (a major perk) and I've been loving it, ever since. I don't know how much Tom Clancy had to do with it, or if it plays like other Clancy-based games, but it's already given me so much more joy than I thought i...
Nothing is meant to last forever, but as long as they stagger the DLC at a reasonable rate, I can see myself playing this for quite awhile.
I get a weird glitch where I can't see my character (or part of him) in the menu screens, or the background to the menu screens turns black or dark dark green. Anyone else?
I thought this had happened to me, too. It turned out that you don't actually get to claim your rewards until you unlock the Base of Operations, not the safe house that you first go to. I'm sure this isn't the reason most people feel gilted, but maybe some people are confused like I was.
Come on, man. I'm a huge Far Cry fan and even I realize this iteration is lacking. There's no Vaas or Pagan Min type baddies, the environments and beasts are recycled, the engine is showing its age, and the side quests are the same kajillion-per-square-inch Ubisoft formula. It's type to freshen things up, and this ain't it.
I'm more interested in a decent Wolverine film. Honestly, the ones already out have been some of the biggest disappointments in this comic nerd's movie-going life. Such a waste.
I'm telling you man, those easy fatality koins cost (kost?) more than they're worth from the Krypt, and you don't need them. The fatality window is so forgiving and the button presses so easy to remember, you'll wonder why you were ever worried about it. Wait a little while, get the GOTY edition with all the character/costume packs, and spend your hard-earned koins on the kool stuff.
Not that you're wrong, but aren't you taking it for granted that the "original DLC plan changed"? Isn't it possible that this was part of their pricing strategy all along? Do you really think they decided on the fly to just come up with a whole slew of new DLC that they hadn't accounted for? These things are planned well in advance, and it seems just a little convenient, the way they've explained it.
What's the minimum level all four group members should be in order to beat this incursion thing without cheating? I'm at 174, a pretty decent player, yet even when I'm with 190's and 200's I'm still getting my ass handed to me.
