Finally got around to playing the platinum demo today, and boy are you right. If that's what the game mechanics are going to be like in the main, I'm pretty disgusted. There was almost never a reason to use the dodge/roll, and even if you didn't hold down the button, you could just repeatedly mash it until the enemies were toast. Didn't feel even a teensy little bit like FF.
You and everyone you know will end up buying this game.
you put the game in your computer and type on it
@SonyWarrior: Care to elaborate? I haven't read a single complaint about the protagonist in this game, if anything, he's one of the saving graces. Unless you meant something else?
The unnecessary flagging on this page is getting outta control. Now mine will be flagged for "off-topic"...

I'm down for some fishing and chocobo racing, sure.
If this game learned from the lessons of the first one, it'll be a blast. Some more variety in gameplay, more fun with vehicles (a helicopter would be great), and a better protagonist to name a few; should all make for a more polished experience.
There's no gameplay here, if that's what you're looking for (like I was). If the guy that's dressed like a burglar shut up (he didn't play it), or if the clever t-shirt guy (he did play it) just wrote down his thoughts and impressions, this might have been worth a read, but it's not worth a watch.
Grow up, people.
Nope.
"The first time I finished it, I realised I understood the franchise.
By the second time (this time with all of the DLC installed) I realised I understood America"
Alright, time to dial it back a little, Hemingway. .
Nowhere in the article does the author say he hated NMS, he only asks "what game have you played for a really long time before realizing you hated?"
The games and characters in the article are mostly Chinese, so it's entirely possible for a Japanese developer to exhibit regressive biases in their depiction. Unless the author is unaware of the size, scope, and history of "Asia".
If anyone with a tight wallet was on the fence about EDF 4.1, I finally bought it and it's worth it at $20.
I'm guessing PS4 isn't gonna get Marvel Super Heroes anytime soon, or the price point on these games wouldn't be nearly as high.
You mean the sole "Sun" article that you cherry-picked, or the rest that aren't even vaguely attributable to Munich? This tragedy isn't being blamed on video games, and the public at large doesn't seem concerned with their involvement. "The Media Pins Shooting On Video Games" is a blanket statement, and a false one. If anyone is using the tragic events in Germany to extend their agenda, it's your publication; with the agenda being "clicks".
Sorry, but animal abuse isn't funny. Using a photo of bleeding, tortured animals being forced to fight to the death for comedic effect is a chump's tactic. It's not edgy, and it's not funny.
Out of the twenty headlines about the Munich attacks that I'm looking at on Google News, I see nary a one linking video games to the violence. If there's a "lesson about the media" to be learned here, it's that some gamers will find a way to take anything and MAKE it about them.
Cocaine.
