I think it's becuase of the potential spending power of the Japanese consumer.
The market scale in Japan is almost as same as EU only in one country.
So if MS get success in Japan, it leads to more profit easily.
My interest about Xbox360's sales in Japan is only when its sales drop to 360.
If sales are equal to 360 exactly, it's kind of hilearious......
So if we want to play this game with its full graphical and physical feature, we must downgrade our OS form XP to Vista...
Anyway, I think Crysis's graphics and physics even in DX9 mode is supperior greatly to any other games at this time.
Reactions in Japan seem to be slightly disappointed about stage plot.
I think why this game is popular in Japan is for the stage setting, the present days Shinjuku, everybody in Japan is familiar with this town and Yakuza expressed the atmosphere of this town well.
So at now, it's hard to imagine what will happen when YAKUZA 3 is out, will this game push up PS3 sales or not.

SONY was able to take a long term strategy in PS2 since PS2 separated second greatly.
I think if Xbox360 will win or not, MS will put another new Xbox in three years or so, of course it's supeiror than PS3, short cycle.
