I don't have any idea what the directional rumble is. Is that a rumble thumbstick or something ?

Japan's video game market is over maturity and getting into a decline a little early while the US and other regions are in a period of growth. Japan's game market isn't bigger than past anymore.

Activision will release Call of Duty 4 on PS3 next month in Japan.
Sadly, there is no plan in Xbox360.
UBI Japan will release Assasins Creed on Xbox360 Nov 29 in Japan.
But they still plan to release on PS3 this winter.
