It's a never-ending problem, really. With every new console generation, the devs have to decide what to do with the extra power that comes with the territory. Do you focus on the frame rate which means that the graphical leap will appear minor compared to last gen or do you focus on the graphics which means that the graphical leap will be greater at the cost of a higher frame rate.
The only people who care about diversity don't play video games.

Nah, man. Unlike Xbox One players, I've grown accustomed to quality games. Increasing the potential customer base by releasing Dead Rising 4 on the PS4, they would've easily sold well over a milliom copies.

@Unreal01 that's just wrong. It used to be the case but not anymore. Steam Summer Sale is very lackluster. You get better sales on PSN almost monthly. For example just a couple of weeks ago Wolfenstein The New Order and Old Blood were under 5 euros on PSN. I wanted to buy The New Order on PC but the sale was 9,99 €. Disappointing.
Yes and for multitude of reasons. One reason is the game pricing. Have you seen how expensive new digital releases are today on Steam? They cost as much as or sometimes more than a physical console version of the same game. Polygon had a great in-depth article on Steam.

How about just plain old exploring for a creative and fun way of opening up the map. You forgot that one, didn't you?
You gather information about the game, compare it to the games that you feel are similar to the game and find out their metascores. It's a relatively simple process and it helps to have a lot of prior knowledge about video games and metascores. I do this all the time.
