HDR isn't a gimmick. I know what you are saying but you worded it wrong. Many TVs claim to have HDR but don't have 10-bit panels. So in essence, they accept HDR signal but do nothing with it. You need a 10-bit panel to have the real HDR experience. TVs that have the proper HDR feature cost an arm and a leg.
Devs shouldn't legitimize these crazy people's ramblings by addressing them.
