Not really. The pricing flexibility isn't occasional, it's consistent. The convenience digital games provide is also minimal at best.

Do you want to see the receipt or what?

That risk aspect is a very good point that I didn't even think about before you said it.
There are typically good launch day deals at certain stores/websites here, and if there aren't any particular deals, at launch the physical version is still usually 5-10 euros cheaper than on PS Store.
Exactly. I think Sony will see that there is a decline in launch purchases and will revert back to the original pricing eventually.
I paid 49,95 euros for the physical version at launch and it was 79,95 euros on the Finnish PS Store. A 30 euro difference is huge. That's why physical games are superior.
A two point difference means nothing, especially when reviews are always more subjective than objective. If the difference was 10 points or more, you would be onto something.
Demon's Souls came out last year.
@LucasRuinedChildhood
For starters, the story and characters are better than in most AAA games. Stop trolling.
Renting will always be more expensive than owning in the long run. The sooner you realize this the better.
Game Pass will be more expensive in the long run. You are paying over and over again to play the same game instead of paying for it once. And if you choose to purchase the game while also subscribing to Game Pass, it gets even more expensive than just buying the games you want to play. Wait a month or two after the release and game prices usually drop drastically.
goldwyncq it's very obvious that you haven't played it. There are many things Days Gone does better than its competitors.
You are right. Days Gone was worth more than 60 dollars at launch.
That's why I bought the Special Edition and it was an amazing game that I wish I could experience for the first time again. Days Gone launch issues were exaggerated.
If you think Days Gone is generic, you have no idea what you're talking about.
Yeah, everytime a game is designed to have a co-op, it compromises the narrative and the single player experience. Too many games are created with co-op in mind these days.
@Army_of_Darkness
Are you kidding me? That's only one retailer, you do know that right, or are you so out of touch? Apparently you don't know how to use Google search.
@dantesparda
That's 60 dollars every year, forever. That's what "in perpetuity" means. The other option is to buy it once and keep it forever with no extra cost. I know, this might be too difficult for you to understand. PS Plus isn't free. 60 dollars a year isn't free. 0 dollars is free, like the games Sony is giving now with the Play at Home program.
That's why going digital is a bad move. You can get a physical copy of Demon's Souls for way less than 80 dollars.
4k means absolutely nothing in this context. By your standards, old school Doom running 4k 60fps is graphically more impressive than a modern game running 60fps at 1880p.
VRR eliminates screen tearing but you can still feel the frame drops.
