I'm not going saying used games are particularly bad, but these devs and pubs aren't as evil as you make them out to be.
I used to work for GameStop and I'll tell you exactly what happens- they train their employees to sell used games instead of new ones. If we saw a customer try to purchase a new game, we were supposed to try to persuade them to get a used copy. Want to know why? Because if the copy is used, the developer and publisher don't get a cut and all...
"There is no carrot being dangled to suggest games would be cheaper if used games didn't exist"
Yes there is! Used games are almost non existent on PC nowadays, and PC gamers get better deals, bigger sales, and some games are cheaper on PC than on consoles.
It's basically what Disney does when they put everything into the vault. Everybody flocks out and goes to get it before it's gone.
The numbers of user reviews more than DOUBLED the night before he removed the game. And even with the game removed from the app store, he still receives revenue.
Yes! The world revolves around you and just because you're not having issues, nobody else should be./S
On topic: I hope they fix this. But this was to be expected with a launch this big.
@Anthotis
It's technically not DRM. It's an online multiplayer games, and in order to play online you need internet.
Finally we actually start hearing things about some GAMEPLAY, the most important thing about this game. We've been getting articles about the visuals being downgraded and Ubisoft claiming the game still looks good, but there are hardly any articles where Ubisoft tells us how good the actual gameplay is or any articles where Ubisoft is questioned about the gameplay.
That's my biggest concern for this game. Ubisoft hyped Assassin's Creed 1 to no end but it ended up be...
Actually, Roms technically don't get you in trouble. The only times Roms are illegal is when they are downloaded through ROM and sharing sites. If you ripped the ROM from a copy that you actually own, it's legal.
I did it with most of my older games, I have no problem with Roms. What I have a problem with is people stealing games off the internet. Especially if the game is easily obtainable through legit means.
Unless it's swimwear DLC, I'm not buying.
I don't know why you got a disagree. Next gen is not a term that is applicable with PC. Consoles generations are not based on power, but the time of release. It has been eight console generations since the release of the first generation of consoles(The first gen consoles were the Magnavox Odyssey, the Nintendo color TV, The Atari). Every console cycle is a new generation. When we are coming up on a new generation, we refer to it as next gen. If the PS5, XB2, and WiiU2 were to come out 7 ...
I agree that this is common but there have been launches that have been way smoother than this.
Just because you can get on, doesn't mean everyone else can. I don't get why you people are getting so defensive just because something bad is reported about a game you like.
Calm down. This is nothing surprising, it's a major release and this was bound to happen. A rocky release was expected, but they'll probably smooth everything out soon. It's something that's fairly common among many multiplayer games.
Nobody claimed Sonic or Pikmin would move systems.
Also, FYI, Super Mario did move systems. There was an uptick of WiiU sales at the games release. The only problem was there wasn't any other major releases after, so sales inevitably dropped.
Mariahellfutura submit positive XboxOne articles all the time. It's just easier for Xbots when they point their fingers and yell bias, rather than accepting the negative.
It's not that simple. You make it sound like it can be done in two minutes.
No, it worth it. It's a quality and worth the money.
Yes, Sony and Microsoft never milked any franchises./S

We're not saying it's a bad game, it just has some technical issues. Skyrim had loads of technical issues but it's still a good game.
True, but this one wouldn't surprise me.
We actually saw the old version running on a PS4, that's the problem.
Shaq did put money into this game, this was made clear. The crowd funding parts is to see how much the public is interested in a sequel. It is already confirmed that if it doesn't reach it's goal, Shaq will take care of the rest.
