I remember when UNO on Xbox360 was a big thing.
The things people would do on camera....*Shivers*
Dynasty Warriors 8 shipped around 200,000 in it's first week.
Dynasty Warriors 7 shipped around 260,000 in it's first week.
Keep in mind that the PS3 did have a higher install base when these games released.
I didn't make your argument. My point was it's possible for gaming companies to have movie studios.
Square Pictures closed because they made bad movies (The reviews for FF:TSW were horrible). However, Activision can succeed if the movies are actually good.
It's possible for a company to sustain a movie studio as long as they know what they're doing.
It's possible.
Square Enix actually had a movie studio for some time.
They closed down after Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within tanked though.
They could actually pull it off.
Set the movie in World War 2, get some big name actors, and add lots of explosions.
Bam! It's sure to be a hit.
You didn't see all the articles talking about how Sony ignored the Vita at Gamescom?
It even lost an exclusive.
Damnit, Chrono, do your homework.
First, that isn't the first Pokémon game on IOS or a device other than Nintendo hardware. This is a port of a PC game.
Second, the Pokémon company isn't wholly owned by Nintendo. The article is wrong.
Third, this is Gamefreak's doing, not Nintendo. Nintendo is aware and let's them do it, but it's not Nintendo paying for or developing this game.
E3 show floor full of indie shovelware, something I'm tired of.
What happened to the "console quality" games and graphics Sony promised me? What happened to the support from their western studios?
"What? Are you not happy with indie shovelware? What do you expect? First party games?" - Sony
At this point, I'm not even surprised.
I don't even care anymore. Focus on the PS4 and let the Vita die. Spit in the face of the 8 million people that bought your hardware and supported it.
I'll finish up whatever releases are coming up and I'm done. Bullet Girls will be the last Vita game I buy.
It will never be worth it's price.
It's a joke at this point.
People are only buying it because it's so bad. It's not even the "It's so bad, it's good" kind of bad. It's just... bad.
I'm surprised Nintendo lets this developer pump out games like this. Did you see the trailer to this guy's new game? It looks like the Windows 95 screensaver.
It's sad how the fanbase takes it and smiles.
Everywhere I go I see people saying things like, "It's okay guys! We're getting 200 cheaply made and low quality indie games this month! We don't need first party games or AAA titles! Tehehe!"
Sony has officially soured my views on the indie movement. They're giving us nothing but indie ports and trying to mask the fact that they can't be bothered to develop games for it themselve...
And somewhere outside the room, standing in the rain, there is a lone Vita watching as Sony and the PS4 snuggle up by a cozy fire.
"Why doesn't he love me like that?", says the Vita to himself as a tear rolls down his face.
Lol At Goat Simulator being the most pirated game in Deleware.
Of course Vita fans aren't going to like when the Vita is ignored! The people complaining about too much Vita coverage were in the minority.
The only people not upset about the Vita's lack of presence are the people who go around posting the same "200 games" link that is composed of nothing but insubstantial indie ports. Oh, and Shahid a.k.a Corporate Cheerleader #1.
I'm sorry but I need more than indie indie shovelware to quench my thir...
I can picture it.
Shahid gets up and drives to work. As he sits in his chair drinking coffee, he scrolls down the Steam greenlight page looking for games to port to the Vita.
I find it funny.
They love throwing around big numbers that mean nothing.
"200 games coming to Vita"
Most of them are ports and indie games. I didn't spend $200 to play indie games I can buy on steam.
Take away the indies and ports.
How many are left? I'm getting tired of indies and ports.
I sat through E3, they forgot about the Vita.
"Wait till Gamescom", said everyone.
I waited and this is what happens. I want AAA experiences that thake advantage of the Vita hardware.
No, it's not.
Iwata has already explained their plans. They will have two separate devices with a similar architecture that makes it easier to port up and down.
The devices will be seperate but will work close together.
In other words, the hybrid rumour is false. Their next handheld and console will not be one device.
Those games are different. The companies didn't want them to fail.
The companies thought those game were going to succeed but they just ended up sucking.
No conspiracy behind it. Just a bunch of companies not knowing what their fans actually wanted.
The Vita is saved!
