Blacktric, yes really. Rockstar has stated that they want GTA Online to evolve into it's own thing. That why it has a separate name and was advertised separately.
Battlefield isn't constantly updating with DLC, updates, and new content. GTA Online is like an MMO. You basically paid for the single player and Online is a F2P game on that just shares the disk that Rockstar threw on there.
A lot of MMOs are reviewed gradually and over time. That's how GTA Online is being treated.

COD's campaigns have been this short for a while now. This is nothing new.
