While it sounds like they added plenty more gameplay to it and new features, I'm still on the fence about picking this one up. I played a ton of Pokemon White, so I'm not sure how much more fun I'd have with this one...
Well, we've had Compile Hearts' Agarest War from Aksys Games and Hyperdimension Neptunia and Mugen Souls from NIS America and both of those have fan service, though NIS America slightly censored Mugen Souls' loli scenes. So it depends how heavy this game is with ecchi content and it may make it over here.
I'm amazed it took so long for a company to do this and I'm actually very intrigued by it. Compile Heart is known for making games with a decent amount of fan service and from the looks of this teaser website, it is going to be packed full of it. I'm curious if this will have a chance of making it stateside with how Aksys and NIS America love Compile Heart's stuff.
I'm actually surprised it has taken so long. I think the 3DS had an ecchi game already by this point in it's lifecycle and with the Vita's back and front touch pad... the development could be endless.
Hm, I'd say its probably worth picking this one up over that Jojo's HD release. I don't know where they got off charging $20 for a basic HD upgrade and basic online upgrade with nothing else.
At least this looks alright and got a three pack release, not that I'm a big fan of retro games in the first place...
Yeah I won't be upgrading as long as my slim works fine as it is. I know a few people though who always want the latest version of anything, even with the PSP they bought each one that came out, which was a bit of a shame with the PSPGO. After looking at a few videos and seeing how that sliding door is though, it looks very flimsy and cheap. Not sure if I would trust that to work for a long time without tape or something to hold it in place.
Mmm, from the sounds of this all they did was make it a lot smaller, but then they also used cheaper plastic and parts. I'm going to be perfectly fine with my normal Slim, no reason to drop the extra money on this Super Slim.
Haha, practically every mission that has Claptrap involved in it in some way is excellent. I'm glad they gave him and his self-delusional humor a bigger part in this one.
Why though? They've shown the game off in English before and this site itself had an English subtitled version of the game from the looks of their preview, so what has held them back? I remember they had multiplayer issues back in April but it is now October almost and there still is no official release date even after it missed the first two dates.
Man this is terrible news, I hope that 7sixty makes some sort of announcement. While there wasn't a huge market for this game, there are a lot of die-hard anime fans who were probably really hoping that the game would be released simply because of the way it looks. It is a huge shame if it gets cancelled officially...
@Cryptcuzz
It seems that people really like to use Helena, Brad Wong and Ayane or at least that is what I've mostly encountered online so far.
I've been playing it online for a bit now and it seems that it works fine for me and considering the rush of people probably picking it up today it thankfully is managing it well.
Good to hear that this is actually an excellent game. While I'm all for plenty of fan service, the fighting mechanics have to be at least somewhat decent too. Seems that they found a nice combination with this.
I've only just started playing my copy and the game is absolutely gorgeous in more ways than one.
Man there are some great looking goodies there for people to pick up. Those Dead or Alive 5 pins would look excellent in my collection.
It has kinda changed over the course of the two games that were released previously. The characters themseleves are personifications of game consoles, such as Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony with a fictional console being the leader. Most of the story involves fighting against an evil group called Arfoire which is a reference to a game piracy device.
The game itself is still turn based fighting, though it has now evolved into letting players move around the battlefield and attac...
Mmm, I'm a fan of Neptunia but this seems a little weird to me. Guess it is a good thing for die-hard fans or even otaku at that point...
Guess this isn't too much of a surprise really, they already brought over the past two games in the series. From what I've read about the game so far from it's Japanese release it seems this one also improves upon the past two games a lot, which is great because I loved the first two.
At least it's not an excessive amount of wasted money. Just a small amount of poorly spent money.
Edit: Though by far, this just reeks of a missed opportunity with only a few interesting tidbits that could have been expanded upon greatly. Instead nearly everything is cookie-cutter simple and uncustomizable.
Well, the PS One Classic support does help it a lot at the moment. Sure they are older titles but it still feels great to play some Tomba or Resident Evil on the go, though it is a bit clunky how you have to get Resident Evil on the platform.
As for the region locking, its nice that you can still play physical copies of the game, its just disappointing I can't even visit the Japanese PSN without having to go buy a whole 'nother memory card. And yes that Ubisoft game i...
I'll tell you one thing, those two raid bosses are ridiculously difficult at times. Even with the conference call weapon and the B shield they are difficult to take down without four people.
