No, I would not call the PSP a failure. They had never sold that many handhelds before. I would consider the vita a failure though since it did not live up to its potential and is probably the reason Sony will never enter into the handheld market again.

In phones Sony is a complete failure, yes. I dont even see them sold in stores anymore if they're still even around. Also, it's more than twice. Microsofts numbers are so low that they dont even announce them anymore after bragging every month last generation. And nintendo will surpass Microsoft at this rate in about half the time it took them to get that many sold. If that's not failure coming off how well the xbox 360 did then I dont know what is.
Microsofts sales have been pretty consistently low. If it slows down anymore they may as well discontinue manufacture and just sell remaining stock. Why even mention them?
