What does bad security have to do with the cold war?
For me open world games can be a lot of fun, but too often open world games comes with too many quests that are just thrown in without much thought to fill the world with content. Very few open world games are able to create meaningful side quests with the main storyline which leads to a big empty and repetitive open world game.
Let's hope so because Microsoft didnt even really try this generation and the Wii u was one of nintendos worst selling consoles of all time and ended at an early lifespan.
You gotta partner with the ISPs if you really want it to be the future. Dats caps are streaming enemy.
Would love a wish list.
What exactly has he done. They launched the xbox one as an always online, TV focused, all in one machine. Now it is service focused, inching closer to always online anyways, games hasnt improved at all and has actually steadily declined. Why is this guy praised so much? The only positive is that they bought some good and decent studios, but now I'm scared they're going to turn those studios into games as a service games going forward.
History tells us that. It's been this way for how many years? At least a decade.
The combat and story changes are the most concerning to me.
I will rejoice the day that I hear that the top level executives are leaving the company and they replace them with people who actually like gaming. EA has such a potential to create great games with the talented devs they have, but top level leadership pushing GaaS and rushing games out has killed a lot of that potential. Also, axing the amount of single player games. If you want to see why EA is bad it starts at the top.
So many kids get games digitally now too which makes it even easier to get M rated games.
That's true for today's multiplayer, but about 10 years ago multiplayer games used to be shipped out with enough content to not get repetitive for a long time. Then publishers saw the money benefit of slashing a lot of content out of a game and releasing it sooner and then releasing the extra content in pieces as dlc.
I definitely think there needs to be some reform when it comes to game development. Developers should work more regular hours and publishers need to stop pushing deadlines so hard. If a game takes an extra year to complete working regular hours and not the ridiculous hours per week they work now then so be it. It beats developers being burnt out and losing their passion to create a great world to play in. A lot of the publishers have brought this onto themselves when they've made everythi...
Nintendo usually runs a few generations late with features so be patient. Itll happen someday.
I agree that Steam needs competition, but this ain't it. People get upset when Sony or Microsoft buy a multiplatforms exclusivity so why should this be any different?
Why is it that they're pushing so hard for exclusivity. Why cant games release on both platforms? The problem is that Epic knows it's the far inferior store and to compensate they're just going to throw a lot of money at the big publishers and devs to buy exclusivity. So instead of actually building up their store to legitimately compete with steam they've opted to hold games hostage. Just make sure you never have a card on file in the Epic store.
My problem with Nintendo games is that there's just not much to them. They're usually good for a little mindless fun and that's about it. I tend to like games that have a more serious tone to them and a deeper story and unfortunately most of nintendos games dont fit that. And the gameplay in a lot of them are pretty simplistic at times.
I'll support it when I can verify that EA has had little to no involvement and truly let respawn create a game without interference.
That didnt take long for them to give up on. Does Bioware realize that to be considered a games as a service you actually have to keep adding content. Now it just seems like they released a product that wasnt finished and are now moving on because it didnt perform as well as they hoped. So much for their "roadmap."
Guess they found a new way to implement microtransactions.
I would say the last of us and the unchartered series. Outside of naughty dog I would say the witcher 3. Naughty dog just resonates with me when it comes to storytelling.
