For me xbox one comes down to one simple thing, no gamefly renting games means i wont be buying the system. Since Xbox said "no rent at launch" my plan is to wait about 1 year after both system launches to see how things pan out.
it was one of those dvd/vcr player things. It just sounds funnier to say my vcr was stolen :)
Back in the day my house got broken into they stole my copy of GTA San Andreas donuts out of the fridge and my VCR, yea it was back in the day lol
i went out & bought a 24" tv that i put on a tv tray in front of me on the couch when my wife wants the tv, we can sit next to eachother & still get our form of entertainment we want. The vita remote play would basically be the same thing but i wouldnt have to set up the tv each time sounds interesting
you can plug in an external HDD & play movies off of there but you cant store video files on your 360 hdd it wont let you. I do this A LOT on my ps3 i have a lot of shows & movies stored there i watch whenever.
Am i the only one who enjoys Elder Scrolls games because they aren't online games? I play them for the single player experience.
i know quite a few people who bought a wii just because it could play pirated games, so this is a big deal to some people
Wow i gotta check out mars one looks cool
IMO the UI needed the touch up its getting, but as long as i can still store my music, pictures, & videos on the ps4 im good. Oh well & still have access to netflix & mlb.tv
My biggest shock when i got a 360 was i couldn't store whatever i wanted on the HDD, i figured this was a given & hope the ps4 will continue this.
I would apreciate the ability to play more video formats.
Another thing as a gamer who had his ps3 die a ...
one of my biggest regrets when i got my ps3 was I boxed up my ps2 & gave it away about a week later. My plan for when i buy a ps4 is to put it right in the middle of my ps3 & xbox 360 so i have full backwards compatibility.
Take the way you do that & multiply it by about a 100,000,000 others that do the same thing & there goes $250,000,000 to $300,000,000 per year in game sales!
IMO what this is going to lead to is AAA only games meaning we will only get 7 to 8 games released per year, i dont mean quality games & there will be other i mean total!
i am a gamefly member & have been for about 3 years. I remember reading some article a few years ago that didnt give the exact number but stated gamefly has to buy games at much more than retail as well as pay a royalty type system to be able to dispense there games. It stands to reason that xbox/playstation might work out some type of deal for rentals.
At least that is what im hoping, i have played every new game that has come out for the last 3 years & dont want to...
gamestop also give over 1 billion per year in used game credits with 70% going towards new games. Taking away used games automatically takes away over $700,000,000.00 out of the market!
Considering it comes with 1 year of ps+ its a lot more than 4 games! If i didnt have gamefly i would have signed up fod ps+ when it firts came out!
Before i even opened my ps3 box i took my ps2 put it in a box & stored it in the back of my closet. I have no intentions of doing that this next gen. My Ps4 will sit right in between my ps3 & xbox360 so i have my backwards compatablity. I am assuming its gonna be at least 1 full year before the great games come out for the ps4 after launch!
i have been voiceing this to, people are going to stop buying non AAA games even more so then this gen if they cant unload them if they dont care for them. Thats sad really.
It very well could end up next gen being we only get 5-10 games released a year, i dont mean "games worth playing" i mean period. Think about it publishers wont want to make games that wont make tons of money & gamers wont want to buy a game that isnt AAA
Never really thought of the legality of it all. Good questions!
But that is assuming prices will come down. I am a firm beliver that prices come down (for all platforms) because of used games. If there is no competition with used game sales what incentive do publishers have to lower prices?
Am i the only one who plays COD games for the campaign but has absolutely zero interest in the multiplayer part of the game?
If i didnt have gamefly i would be a ps+ subscriber! Those are some great games!
