You bring up a great point thats created a lot of controversy right now. Because few "mainstream" people view video games as art, Real world events are seen as distasteful while movies about the same subject matters are praised for their subject material and drama. Its just one of those things thats going to take time for people to get used to.
I feel that as long as your respectful to the subject material, you should be allowed to make whatever the hell you want, ...
Publishers would rather force Devs. to sacrifice time that could be spent on the campaign on a (usually) unnecessarily tacked on multiplayer.
Oh and the obvious reasons like high budgets and marketing costs...

Quality games take time. Kinect Dev. Kits only went out like a year ago and you cant expect people to be familiar with it at launch. Weve already heard a lot of potentially great games for 2011 on kinect, so I wouldnt be surprised if we see some really cool stuff next year for it.

Essential for 360, No. Essential for those who bought Kinect, YES. One of the funnest and best uses of kinect yet. Im the last person to ever enjoy dancing but its so much fun with a group of people just laughing and hving a good time.

Ok. your right. because we sure havent had enough real life, serious shooters. Seriously, Name one other shooter that is even remotely original as this is shaping up to be. I for one am welcoming a game that doesnt take it self too seriously. this and Duke Nukem are going to be insane.

quit complaining. the Epic Edition only costs $60 and you can upgrade to it if you pre oredered it already. I think its a great way to reward everyone for believing in this game and preordering.

Im pretty sure its gonna be similar to what ME2 did with people that didnt have ME1 saves (what i did my first playthrough). They just assume a lot of the major decisions and you have no input. Because new players wouldnt get some references to ME1, you dont even get to see most of the repercussions of your small choices in ME2 (which i learned in my second playthrough :)
Basically, If you want the full experience of the trilogy you should go for PC...
What do you expect? Frankly i wouldve been surprised if the ps3 version just looked the same. With a year longer development cycle it better look better than the 360 version (which of course it does).

Yes UC3 will be EPICCCCCCCCC!!!!! But its not call of duty. It doesnt have the power to completely overshadow all other games.
Not bad for a single player game with no multiplayer if you ask me!
Same for me, I love this game and the DLC is most definitely worth it at that price ( i wasnt complaining when it was more though!)
