A lot more could be added to the list. My most anticipated ones:
Eastward
Hollow Knight : Silksong
Somerville
Radio the Universe
Sable
Witchfire
The Last Night
Paradise Lost : First Contact
In 2013 PlayStation released The Last of Us, which many consider game of the generation. Sony gave the PS3 great support.
Silent protagonists arent mute. Their personality are suppressed so the player can project himself even more into the character. The point is to not have the character say or think something that the player wouldnt say or think himself, which would create dissonance between the two and break immersion.
You cant disagree with someone who says nothing.
2009 to 2019 would be 11 years man, count them. same thing for 2000 to 2010, it is also 11 years.
2009 - 1
2010 - 2
2011 - 3
2012 - 4
2013 - 5
2014 - 6
2015 - 7
2016 - 8
2017 - 9
2018 - 10
2019 - 11
the decades are:
1980 to 1989 - the 80's
1990 to 1999 - the 90's
2000 to 2009 - the 2000's
2010 to 2019 - the 2010's
...
Uncharted 2 is 2009, it belongs to the 2000's decade (from 2000 to 2009).
Exciting times! If I find the courage, I will wait for the PS5 to play Cyberpunk so I can enjoy the ray-tracing tech. The controller somehow mimicking surfaces like mud and ice seems awesome as well. Seems like another must have system from Sony.
edit: Looks like Bluepoint just confirmed they are working on a PS5 game.
It's great to stop watching trailers and gameplay videos when you know you're going to buy the game anyway but the long development time required for games these days make it difficult sometimes to stay in the dark.
Before internet, we only had magazines to keep up with the news and eventually see a few low resolution screenshots or artworks here and there. It helped with the feeling of discovering our games back then.
1. Bluepoint - For the very reason uptownsoul mentioned, there are plenty of classics that should get the RE2 remake treatment.
2. Kojima Productions - We'll see how Death Stranding turns out but they're already sharing tech with the game engine.
3. Remedy - Simply because they fit the profile of what Sony 1st party studios are about: story-driven, good looking and single player game.
Sony should buy them and have them revive classic PS1 games, full-on remake like Capcom did with RE2. It would be infinitely awesome if they were working on a Legend of Dragoon remake or Syphon Filter remake.
These are my favourite crime solving/mystery games:
Shenmue
Sam & Max Hit the Road
Ghost Trick
Famicom Detective Club Part II
The Wolf Among Us
Return of the Obra Dinn
Snatcher
Also, Judgment releasing in June is looking pretty cool.
If this game is generic, could you please name say... 5 other games supposedly like this one? Because all I can think of is Infamous and even that is a stretch since I'd say they are more different than alike. One is outdoor, the other is indoor to begin with. Infamous is more about free roaming and kicking ass with kind of a mindless fun vibe while Control seems much more focused on its on setting, with a particular atmosphere and the task of investigating a dark and mysterious place the...
During the PlayStation 1, Bend was known as 989 Studios.
Witcher 3 Publishing went like this:
Bandai Namco (Europe)
WB Games (North America)
Spike Chunsoft (Japan)
They might be going for the same thing.
It seems a little more action oriented but I got a pretty strong EarthBound vibe from this project https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Arkham Origins is overlooked because it wasnt made by Rocksteady but it's just as good as the other Arkham games. I love it.
Still, with 3 Arkham games in a top 10 list it's understandable they left Origins out.
I would have picked Persona 5, South Park : The Fractured But Whole and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles : Turtles in Time.

I did, because they are part of the same franchise and they were all amazing games, not just 1 great game and crappy sequels. Even though people have their preferences over which FF they prefer 7, 8 and 9 were amazing JRPG. Same thing for Crash and Spyro, the whole trilogy was great, even the kart game was awesome.
If I absolutely had to pick it'd be: FF7, Crash 1 and Spyro 2.
PS1 has so many great games, a top 3 is not enough.
my picks.
-PS1
Final Fantasy 7/8/9
Crash Bandicoot 1/2/3/Racing
Spyro 1/2/3
-PS2
ICO/SOTC
Metal Gear Solid 3
God of War 1/2
-PS3
The Last of Us
Uncharted 1/2/3
Ni no Kuni
-PS4
Persona 5
God of War
Bloodborne
Simply because Bluepoint decided to keep the gameplay exactly the same doesnt mean we could call it a remaster. Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 is absolutely a remake. They literally made the game again.
