say what you want, im not gonna expect a story on par with the "real" MGS titles and i think its foolish to do so. its not like the devs are going to say "yeah, our story is crap".

Kojima wrote a story for rising which took place between MGS2 and MGS4.
then Platinum scrapped Kojima's story and wrote their own, this one taking place after the events of MGS4. they re-wrote it so its more fast-paced.
this is purely going to be an action game, expect a forgettable story if you dont want to be disapointed.

i didnt particularly like Nolan's take on Batman (the fuss about how great it was didnt help) and i pretty much hated the character design of Batman Arkham City to the point i wouldnt touch the game.

yes, it's random. you cant choose who you're playing with. and the invaded player doesnt choose to be invaded.
anyway, journey might be a stunning looking game, it doesnt even try to "redefine the online experience".
Demon's Souls did it first. you know, the invading thing, with one player randomly appearing in the area you are in.
even though it's not combat related, Journey's online structure is the same thing.
why do gamers assume they can not play a title if some time has passed since their release?
