Im not sure what monster is to you but any run of the mill pc with a low end 750ti or a 7850 is as fast as it. 5 yeats old 480 are actually faster too
The price argument is just bad:
The console initial price is better then a pc but, You got to pay 50-60$ a year just to play online, the games are usually 10-30$ more expensive. If you add this up 400$ for online and 300-400$ more a year for games well the pc price just disappear and it's actually cheaper in the long run.
"beast" is slower then my 2 year old "average" GPU so meh
I'm not sure how Sony is going to push VR with the ps4. To have a low persistence display (way better motion clarity, got to have this in VR) you need to refresh it at 90-95Hz with strobing black in between each frame. This eliminate the pixel persistence(because pixels are slow that's why you need black in between frame to make em disappear) You can see that if you move your mouse real fast, the persistence make so that you can see more then 1 mouse because the pixels are still showe...

PC is the clear winner and will continue to be for the rest of the generation. Why is that so hard to understand for most people?
People will argue about console resolution make me laugh because if this was important for them they would all be on pc. 1440p 60 fps in all my games :D. I mean you don't go and buy a next gen for it's exclusive there isn't even 3 out that worth your time and the other wave of games are still year from release.
