What.. I never even finsihed the second one, I couldn't get used to how different they made the controls on it ( PS2 ) and how they changed his look, nowhere near the same as the first game. Just didn't like it at all really..
also, doesn't he get shot in the head and live ??
Max Payne one was a masterpiece, 2 was pants. ( opinion )
Trust me Microsoft are going to support this thouroughly once they start porting it to the Xbox. If it takes multiple discs they will allow it. Microsoft must have payed alot to get the game, so what's a little more on top ay ??
I hope that they actually show gameplay, it would be refreshing and it would certainly make the event worthwile ( for me.. I'm not really into RPG's but I'm willing to try out other genres recently )
I completely agree with you.
I really don't get what he expected from Killzone 2. The trailer shown at E305 showed fantastic visual flare and shooting. So as far as I can see the target showed me that they were targetting for a realisitc, dark and gritty FPS. No revolution, just great fun shooting.
What on earth did he expect ??
what's your point Mart ??
The Ghostbusters devs said they could have put much more on screen if they kept it Ps3 exclusive. It's all down to experience and preference.
Plus, it's exclusive games that show the systems worth IMO and Sony's games don't seem to be struggling at all.
Metal Gear solid seems to be the subject of underestimation.
Konami underestimated the demand for the Metal Gear online whilst Sony underestimated the demand for Playstation 3 systems.
Lets hope they're building up a large pile of systems for the Fall period, because they're gonna sell extremely well. They have a lot of good press coming their way in the form of good review scores from a great lineup of exclusive games that seem fail safe, backed up by Multiplatf...
Woah, plenty of people in here getting your hopes up quite a bit. I say keep it cool and don't expect too much because it'll only lead to dissapointment if it's not actually being released as the open beta.
But I can see why this could lead people to believe it, but I'm going to doubt it for now, I don't want that slight dissapointment of thinking it's here then being told it's not coming out for a little while longer.
what is it you don't like about it ??
I think the game's pretty amazing really, so very very simple, but very addictive to play in short spells.
Maybe you should try playing it the way I have been, which is to play it in short bursts now and again.
It's pretty relaxing too with the music and the flowing shapes.
seems like Home is steaming ahead a bit more now, looks like it will be open by the end of year as they have targeted. ( I believe they said november at one point )
I agree with you completely, they should be able to mould him into the role. he's an actor, he gets told the role and acts as best he can. The ones who need to make sure they've gone through the game is definitely the screen writers/directors.
I hope they don't take into account the second one much though, the first was incredible and the second was just stupid ( imo ) at points.
I don't see why you guys can't quite see what Home is offering in terms of bringing together the community. It's all very nice to chat with people, but to be able to do so whilst watching their virtual character and many others around gives it ( I would imagine ) a much more personal feeling and just makes it more enjoable.
For me Home is going to be all about interacting with my friends and bringing them together to discuss plans within games and such things.
...
I wouldn't exactly say it would be better than live, but I would say that it would help to create a greater community. ( in terms of features.. taking the price out of consideration )
I say this in the way that I will personally thouroughly enjoy meeting up with people on my friends list and just chatting, it would be cool to be speaking to a friend over a headset then going off to play bowling with them.
If PSN can add cross game voice chat and in game invites t...
I'm actually going to agree with La Chance for once, Resistance 2 does not look as good as Gears 2, but the game's are unfinished.
Gears of war was revered for great graphics and it's gameplay, so that's where they've built Gears 2 up on first.
resistance was built up to run smooth then to look great ( for a launch title to run so smooth in splitscreen and lag free online, it looked great ) so that's what they're doing now. Getting the game working. I seriously b...
I would have liked to have seen an announcement on the PSforums ( europe ) as to when it finished.. maybe I've missed it.
I hope I get in and wish everyone who entered the best of luck.
edit: Does anybody know if E-mails will be sent out to all contestants that did not get in aswell, to tell them that they haven't, but thanking them or something of the sort ??
oh yeah, that is almost guaranteed to happen. COD4 got it's high ratings because of it's online, it was nowhere near capable of standing without the multiplayer, but still I see that the multiplayer looks fantastic of Killzone's yet many are going to dock points ( as you said ) simply because of the singleplayer experience. Which is linear, like Gears of War and COD4.
from what I hear, variety was never a problem in the first game, especially not in terms of level design.
It does really seem to be aiming to take that spot in the living room and it looks like it might very well do so.
playstation3 is offering; TV, free internet access, Games and Blu rays.
The new weather centre they showed also helps that little bit more
don't read it then
You also ought to see their Tech Demo, it's short.. but it looks fantastic. Just the animation of the face / eyes.
I'd like to have seen infamous in there, also in my opinion, I thought that Killzone 2's multiplayer detials stole away the thunder of resistance.
You'd better had, unless you can understand Japanese fluently.
Thanks MS / sarcasm.
