just got a free 30 days PS+ from IGN, downloading Mass Effect 3 as we speak, got 30 days to complete my FREE game.
one thing I have heard nothing of is the hard drive. I assume I will be able to transfer my existing 500gb into the PS4.
I felt Kinect was a good idea, but as usual MS rushed it out and it didn't do what it said on the tin. it was less accurate that the wii mote (never mind the wii mote plus). It was advertised for core gamers, which has yet to come to pass. Maybe the 2.0 wont get slated as much as it may do what the originally said it would.
well in order to gain me as a customer they will need to say one thing, "no online fee". dont mind if that means no party chat, as long as i get to play all the game ive just paid for, for the price i just paid for it.
although i cannot see either company banning used games they could time restrict them. Sonys Patient is a read/write chip meaning they could have used sales banned for a period of time them turn it off to fit there own sales reductions. As MS have not got the same tech, they would use online and codes, the code requirement being removed later down the line. Then the DLC would start kicking in and hopefully make you want to keep the game longer.

yeah it sounds alot. but if you bought a launch 360 and now have one that can do everything a ps3 can, it would have cost you over £1000. because you needed to buy another 360 just to get HDMI. oh, minus whatever you got for trading in the launch one. And all i would have gained is some timed DLC and cross game chat.

Gonna stick with Sony Hardware. lets face it the Ps3 was a complete system a launch. It didn't need and adapter for wifi or an add on drive for HD media discs. I didn't need to buy another ps3 for HDMI or go and buy a 3D movie player. Only things its needed were a HDMI lead and a bigger hard drive. As far a electronic goods go its now the oldest bit of hardware in my home and still used every day.
Knowing MS it will be a system that needs stuff adding too later.
well having 2 kids who love Harry Potter and also love the Move controler (Eyepet and Friends, Just Dance 3 and sports Champions being their favs) this will be in there with their other presents at Christmas.
I just wonder if i will be able to just buy the game off PSN for the other titles they are doing.
Although this not my cup of tea, I know their gonna love it.

Unlike the 360, the ps3 requires and internal hard drive to run. To put a 16gb drive would mean an entirely different model than the 320gb or 500gb versions. That means a separate factory line just for the lower end model. makes more sense to keep it the same and just differnet HD sizes. 160gb, 320gb, 500gb.
Surely if Sony were to purchase a cloud gaming company we would see PS3 exclusives also on the PC. Opening up a new revenue stream for their entire back catalog, or at least demos to show people without PS3s the games they are missing.

does this game support the Moves Nav Controller? I can't seem to get mine to work with it.
I think this just shows how the Uncharted 3 anouncment changed the MS VGA presence. I think they suddenly needed something big to announce but had no time to work on a trailer. Thus nicking stuff in order to promote Forza 4.
Some people seem to want to believe/say anything in order to justify there purchase of kinect. To be honest i doubt most people defending it have actually bought it. The kinetic German promotion is a class example. People were saying it shows what Kinect is capable of. Yet the guy from Seeper Interactive clearly states in the vid that he is not using kinect to do it. They have been doing them shows long before Kinect was around.

"this technology is kind of a representation of the type of interation you can get with Kinect" it is therefore not using Kinect to do this. Nice marketing stunt though.
Edit, they also did the same interaction stuff for a Nokia Ovi maps promotion.
so basically it sees who logs in and gives them adds and offers relevent to that person. why does it need kinect to do this? would this not just be the same if you logged in with a pad?
I thought you needed to be a sky subscriber and gold member to use sky player? Plus getting both skys adverts and microsofts. Love film is £5.99 a month and no PSN charge or adverts.
they may have queued for 15 hours but there was not many of them. about 20-25. there is a vid on IGN. Don't think there is as much demand for this as some would believe.
I will take my kids to try it in Manchester at the weekend before fully deciding if this will be in their christmas stockings.

Microsoft need to impress me with a far superior console and not apps i can get elsewhere. However i am far from counting them out and looking forward to seeing how they intend to try and steal more of the Playstation crowd.
