Nope, nope, nope.... Everything about this games buisness model screams disaster to me. What better way to absolutely destroy your release sales than talk about planned discounts a month after lunch? They have ZERO confidence in this game.
Riddled with loot crates and pay 2 win RNG.
What a dumb article
We don't count Pachinko machines as games Konomi...
Why? So we can buy in to your P2W garbage?
This, 100%
Whatever. If MT are fair... I'll buy the game and support it. Now, games like Battlefront won't even get my initial $60 because progress its seemingly heavily reliant on RNG, all of which is hidden behind a time sink or pay to progress.... There has to be a better way
What do you get when you polish a turd?
Sure Cliff.... I mean deadfrag ::sarcastic wink::
Listen, if you're one of the active 95 players, I'm happy you got this epic loot drop. The other 7.5 billion people on Earth could care less. Nobody cares anymore, you're not going to get a lot of support here.
Fortnite does copy a lot from PUBG (who's copied from H1Z1 and Arma), but they're adding a major mechanic that isn't in PUBG... base building. I haven't had the time to make much of anything playing solo but there's enough of a spin with that alone to differentiate between the two as being their own games. If PUBG wants to complain, they need to call out The Culling and GTA for similar modes. That or quit being coy about it coming to the PS4 and hurry up.
Honestly, good for Epic. This is a huge win for PS4 owners since PUBG hasn't been confirmed for them and I personally think it's healthy for the market to have competition. I think MS and Bluehole thought had the genre tied up for a while and were cagey about their plans, that's what you get. You should have made the game for all consoles and been more aggressive about developing / contacting other studios to port in a reasonable amount of time. Look at ARK... The was in dev...
He must know something we don't if he can open a brand new studio, launch a game with poor inital sales figures in an already overly saturated field of FPS to not be worried.
I disagree with this article in that Dark Souls is a great comparison for difficult games. Like Gustertote said, it's balanced and more importantly... it's fair. I didn't like Nioh because of all of the one shot kills. Dark Souls gave you an opportunity to learn but you paid heavily for your mistakes. Sorry but if people compare a lot of games to the series... it's probably for a reason. A lot of people hold this series close and you're article isn't going to chan...
Right? I'm sure it's very difficult and expensive to find hackers / cheaters, but direct your energy on console players using mouse and keyboard... get the people flat out cheating and destroying your competitive scene.
What I find more interesting is how Blizzard demands that mouse and keyboard be banned on consoles, apparently it isn't "fair" ( https://www.google.com/amp/... It just seems ironic that they'll come down on some for using legitimate peripheral but they can't control the hacking that...
L4D / L4D2 were huge successes that sold 12+ million at a base price. Evolve supposedly had ~$130+ in DLC alone ( http://www.pcworld.com/arti... I hope Turtle Rock Studios is able to find some middle ground and not scare off the remaining audience they have with their next game.
This has been a frustrating process for myself having been an early adopter on the Xbox One. I purchased this roughly a year ago knowing it wasn't a finished product, that there wasn't a definitive release date, and that bugs were almost an expectation. Fine, I was okay with this and purchased. I enjoyed what the game had to offer but this studio destroyed my opinion for he Xbox Preview program since they chose to develop a paid expansion prior to finishing the base game. There s...
So I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but look up actual gameplay... in my opinion this trailer doesn't do a good job showing how tedious travel and lack of action there actually is. Dogfighting is fun but I've spent around 24 hours with the game and still don't understand all of it because the learning curve is VERY steep. Buyer beware I suppose. It is a very good game, just that I was really turned off of how the trailer presents the actual product.
You say that we need to lead by example and praise studios who have done well ... Do you honestly think we continue to spend our money on things that we don't enjoy or truly find offensive?
Good for them. If only the communities that support them did the same to each other...
