I finished this when it was first released, liked it, wasn't everything I wanted. However, good on the Devs for what they've done in the meantime.
They're two completely different games. Same concept, but very different. I think Fortnite is a good game, I'm pulling for PUBG myself, but at the very least it's going to push one another to make sure better game.
I was torn apart on Reddit for saying cosmetics wouldn't be allowed because of this... EA will make a big change up front but several changes here and there to counter everything out. They're terrible to the industry and to their fans.
You're all idiots and are destroying video games...
EA will find a way to monetize and people will pay. It's Star Wars and that's enough for people. Look at Reddit, the BF2 board has more than doubled since release. I get that it's a train wreck and its hard not to stop and watch.... but people are still playing it. The whales will pay regardless of how fair it is and those people are how and why we are where we are with micro-transactions.
Yep... It's great but to simplistic. They've really done a good job with stats, seasons, and keeping microtransactions limited to cosmetics. If PUBG comes out to console a buggy mess, I'll stick with Fortnite. I wish the PvE wasnt the pay model it is, I won't keep dropping astronomical amounts of money to make decent progress.
The game is excellent, the online progression system is literally the only thing in my opinion that's holding it back. It's a big enough problem that I support the 6.5/10
I believe him but I don't believe they'll be able to fix it in time to save the community
There is almost nothing they can do at this point. The P2W and progression system is bringing in money they're depending on to fund the game. They've backed themselves so far in a corner that no AMA will turn things around.
It's a great game honestly, just that they absolutely destroyed it with the loot system.
When you say "exciting" , you mean "riddled with loot boxes and P2W?
I'm sure this decision will win back some but the damage is done. If they would have made this decision a while ago during the Beta, it would have come across as sincere. However, hours before release? That seems desperate and that they've run out of sneaky ways to spin the same s*** loot system
You play stupid games and you win stupid prizes. Not even the Star Wars brand can save your money pit of a game.
Then you would have wrote an article about how MS should have waited a while longer. These articles are easier and easier to predict
Don't bite the hand that feeds....
I "think" your next game will be riddled with loot boxes and P2W elements. Respawn sold out to the company spearheading the collapse of the "for the gamer" mentality.
I can't speak on the accuracy of unlocking heroes but it is absolutely P2W. These guys will say anything to get your money
This happens to every console / phone / electronic / anything?, from every brand, and it's nothing new.
Fat stacks? Horribly misleading.
100 Silver trophies nets you 100 points,
25 Gold trophies nets you 250 points,
10 Platinum trophies nets you 1,000 points.
10,000 = $10. Yes it's credit but by no means will credits be handed to you in fat stacks.
Also, this absolutely means for harder platinum trophies and may potentially be even harder devs to get platinum trophies on their smaller games.
Them not doing a FF7 remake years ago was their own stubborn faults. It's a money printing machine.
