He didn't educate anyone, he just made a baseless claim. The PSVR does not "render the images twice, one for each eye"; it's a single 1080p screen, which means--if you're going to break it down per eye--it's 960x1080, or half the horizontal size, so it's only rendering the regular amount total.
I'm not expecting MGSV quality, but to say that PSVR games won't be comparable in quality to ANY of those games ...

Yeah, but it's $200 cheaper than Microsoft's option, and that won't get you VR games on Xbone. The Rift announcement of cinema mode for Xbone is more of a bonus for primary PC gamers who happen to have an Xbone than it is incentive for Xbone-only owners to buy the Rift.
780 euros is 856 dollars. The price from the article says $1499 for the PC + Oculus, so minus the $600 Oculus, the PC price is $900, extremely close to the number you gave. You just reinforced their claim.
What makes you think you're speaking for the "majority of people"? The majority of people who've chosen a current-gen system so far have chosen PS4, and that was before the news that Microsoft was gutting Xbone's exclusive library.
AMD's new Crimson drivers are a lot better than Catalyst was.
Streamlined hardware, less OS overhead and a more direct API mean that it already has a lower target minimum spec than its PC counterparts; that minimum further decreases with the use of reprojection and the particular type of screen Sony has implemented (OLED with RGB subpixels is inherently less prone to the 'screen door' effect).

And so the definition of "exclusive" gets twisted farther and farther from what it actually means. A PC and a console are completely different platforms. We already have a word for that: by definition, games on multiple platforms are "multiplats."
@Tedakin: There's nothing in that article but a misquote by IGN. If you click on the source article that IGN links to, i.e. the one they pulled their info from, there is nothing in that article that says the sales were from Xbone alone.
343 already on damage control. It's understandable though. With Scalebound pushed to 2017 and Recore just confirmed for PC launch, Xbone now has a grand total of three true exclusives announced for all of 2016: Gears 4, Crackdown 3, and Quantum Break. Literally every other game is either on PC or a timed exclusive.

- Rise of the Tomb Raider is a multiplat on a timed release schedule.
- Fez and Deadly Premonition are multiplats on Playstation and PC.
- Titanfall, Trials Evolution, and Alan Wake are on PC.
