No Man's Sky has a higher consensus score than Sea of Thieves, haha, so if what you said is true, what does that say about the title you're scrambling to defend? Ouch. Especially since one is from an indie studio with less than twenty employees and the other is an official Microsoft studio with over 100 employees that had two additional years of delays to add content.
You're correct; Hello Games is an independent studio with less than two dozen people, a lot of their dev hardware got wrecked by a flood after they announced No Man's Sky, and it only had one two-month delay after the initial release month was set, whereas Rare is a Microsoft subsidiary with over 100 people (most recent numbers I could find were 150 at the time Kinect Sports Rivals came out in 2014), and it had almost four years to work on Sea of Thieves after multiple delays.
@MegamanXXX: There hasn't been an Xbox platform exclusive to score a consensus 90 or higher since Forza 4 in October 2011, so you're in the right ballpark.
Except that's a false dilemma since there's another option; Sony hasn't done a "long, drawn out stage show" the last two years, it's an hour of game trailers with only about five minutes of talking intro. Streaming a video to people barely qualifies as participating in E3 when all the other companies are actually doing something live for the people who are there in person.
Detroit and Spider-Man seem like they'll be contenders too. If nothing else, Quantic Dream showed they know how to push the platforms' graphics with Beyond: Two Souls, and Insomniac had Ratchet and Clank looking like a Pixar film even before the Pro+HDR update.
You seem to have completely missed the point. Campo Santo, as with almost all game developers (and most movie directors, musicians, artists/creators in general) is a liberal studio. They didn't call social justice movements "bullshit" they called bullshit on people who are hating on them by saying that the studio is "SJW". This isn't a right-wing game; which group of people is more likely to hate and decry a game simply because it has black lesbians in it, liberals...

That GamingBolt article from the other day was claiming that Xbone X's GPU is on par with a GTX 1080, yet Xbox is doing 4K and 30fps while the 1080 in my PC runs Life Is Strange at 4K and >100fps; framerate isn't really important for a game in this genre, but that statement is clearly off.
