I think they are trying to keep something for the game drought that generally occurs from March to September. They may be trying to avoid what happened this year to the PS3 and the 360.

I will stop what I'm doing the day this comes out and give it a lot of spin. This is an adventure game that is so far outside what everyone else is doing. Kudos to them for taking a risk and being different.
I agree Honeal2g, SF Alpha was hot and I think if they kept that scheme going that it could easily be on the baddest 3D fighters out but I'm not even opposed to them doing it in 2D. I'll take SF anyway I can get it.
I respectfully disagree. I thought it was a fantastic game but I actually enjoyed Final Fantasy 7 more. Just my opinion.

Sony sounds like they have there game face on now. Phil said that after the launches they were going to focus on the software and it appears that that's exactly what they're doing. This is good for everyone regardless of your console preference.
Judging from your avatar Thammer, you know as well as I do that sales doesn't indicate quality more than it show popularity. Halo is a popular game and a lot of hype. People will buy it just to see what it's about. I'm not saying it's a good game but sales are a poor indicator of quality.
There are many rappers with high sales numbers who are terrible but some quality rappers (Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Jadakiss, etc... that don't see their quality translate into sales)
I wonder why it didn't score higher than a 8.5 even though it has more content that was not necessary to download? I'd like to see the outrage combos fomr Marvel vs. Capcom done in 3D but with the same detail as put into a MGS4 or Mass Effect. It would be tight to see combos like that where it looked real. I doesn't have to be bloody but calling in absolutely ridculous attacks that could be blocked by hold "back" on the controller was cool to me. I'd like to see that in 3D.
Oh yeah, and Eternal Champions would be nice too!!

If this is a timed exclusive so be it. I'm interested to see how many dvd9 it would take up. I will get it for my PS3 and if it's released to the 360 then so be it. They can experience the wonderful game that is FF. Now, we know it will be a business decision. I think the PSN will have to be far superior to XBL before they begin charging. Once PSN one pace with XBL some people will get a PS3. Now that's assuming they want to play PS games. Some guys only play Halo and a few other FPS games so coming to a console that doesn't have Halo isn't worth it to them.
It's really up to the individual. I have a gold membership but used it because I played Halo often. I find that I like the PSN because it's free and do more stuff online. Sure, ...
