I am glad they are tweaking with the knifing system. Literally my only complaint about the beta. I will be buying the full game when it comes out.
You do understand that Nomura (the guy directing Final Fantasy Versus XIII (XV)) is the one who helped make Final Fantasy what it is today? He has helped with story elements for Final Fantasy VII all the way up to Final Fantasy X. He has also designed all the characters between all those games and he has also directed Square's other big franchise: Kingdom Hearts.

Well than you don't support the change that Final Fantasy is known for. Or is that not true in this case? You guys use the "Oh change is what FF is about. That's why XIII is different and a good FF." but when fans that are excited about Versus XIII talk about real time combat you guys go "Wha?!!? No you guys don't get it. Final Fantasy has never been about changing its battle system."

While 7/10 is an okay score it is not a "great" score.
It's pretty obvious that anyone that tries to hate on this game gets flamed by the XIII fans (yes that what I am dubbing them). If you don't like it you're not a fan of Final Fantasy and if you do like it then you're a real fan of the series. That's the thought process I am seeing among the XIII fans. I just want a great Final Fantasy game. How is that a bad thing?
I didn't know sales determined the quality of a game. That's news to me.
Final Fantasy Versus XIII is the game most fans have their hope in.
People thinking XIII-2 is their only hope are people who are spending money on that game thinking that the game will be completely different than XIII.

I want a good Final Fantasy too but I am a realist. Trust me if they made a half decent story and characters I would pick up this game. Unfortunately every review site is saying the story and characters are weak and from what I have played they are right.
I'm not a fan of the battle system either. Your still hitting auto battle throughout most of the game. To me that's not fun. It's easier than XIII. That doesn't make it more fun to me.

Watch the review and the from what he said it sounded more like a 7 than a 9. There were quite a few negatives he pointed out but didn't list it at the end of each section. Right now it seems this game is getting a mixed bag of reviews. When a game gets reviews from 5/10 to 9/10 you know that the game is a mixed bag of meh.

I played Final Fantasy XIII. All the way to the end. It was in my opinion the worst Final Fantasy or JRPG I have ever played ( and this is someone who has been playing Final Fantasy since Final Fantasy VI). It just wasn't a good game. They need to let someone else direct main series Final Fantasy (preferably Tabata or Nomura) and go from there. Toriyama has done nothing but bad Final Fantasy games and Square needs to do something about it.
Oh so now its don't trust the reviews huh? What happened to those people yesterday who were bashing PSLS review of the game and were "waiting for a more credible site".
You guys just need to get over yourselves. XIII wasn't a great game and it's only logical that a game that is keeping the same battle system, world, story and characters is not going to be that great either.

I wouldn't be surprised. Square Enix is so out of touch with it's fanbase they will probably make another one and say "Oh ya! The fans asked for another sequel to this awesome RPG!"
Seriously I could care less. As long as they finish Final Fantasy Versus XIII and start development on Kingdom Hearts III before they even start developing Final Fantasy XIII-3 than they can do it. I don't care about it anymore.

I sorry that I have a different opinion than you. While I have not played as many Final Fantasy's as you are claiming to have played I still have played every Final Fantasy since VI. I have went back and played IV and V. I love those games too. But to say that "we" are jumping on the bandwagon just to get bubbles is insulting.
