It'll take some time for developers to adapt to the device, but yeah, this time next year we could see all the failing evolving into new, proper gameplay genre... maybe.

The PSP's line-up has been pretty slow for a while. It's just there to keep Sony's place in the market while they get a successor ready, much like the original Xbox was for Microsoft in Japan (though let's hope the PSP2 does better than the 360's doing over there!).

Hmm... can't say I'm amazed.
Yeah, but these days "PAL" isn't often treated as one territory as it used to be. Many games are launched in the UK which don't make it to the continent, and many PAL titles are only released in specific countries. It could well be that it was confirmed for South Africa weeks ago, but the European confirmation only hit today...
And yeah, from my experience, it's entertaining enough!
