GTA is anything but thought provoking. It's stupid and I knew a fan would defend it that was inevitable. I didn't know RS did not develop LAN though, interesting.

This is their best game. It is thought provoking and intelligent, the exact opposite of GTA. It needs a sequel badly, and a remaster.

Best game? No. Is it good? Yes.
Just strike a balance. We don't need games taking forever, but also we want a full experience. DLC is not bad if used correctly. Release a core game full of content and add fairly priced DLC later (NOT day 1 because that should be a free download).
Yeah, that's just most anime games today. Anime and their games look worse today than they did in the 80's and 90's.

That's a damn good one, for sure. 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 are the best in the series, IMO.
@Lord_Sloth: FFT is definitely among my favorite but I was talking main games. If I added it to my list it would be tough to rank, but I think 10 would still rank above it. 10 > 8 > 9 > FFT > 7 would be overall top 5 to me.

Microtransactions are more like MACROtransactions now. Some are up to and probably over $100. If you pay $100 for something it better swallow.
I hear this so much and it just proves to me how bad FF15 will be. They may get a lot of money off casuals and noobs, sheep fans and die-hards, but this game is a shell with the FFXV label, nothing more, nothing less.
And no, that is a very very bad sign. Not for business, but for true fans (and yes, I do decide what true fans are, as well as any others with common sense).

It is an ARPG, that much is clear to anyone with eyes and basic cognitive skills, and moreso to any person who has ever played a video game in their life, and a Final Fantasy fan should know within seconds of watching any footage and listening to any commentary; it's unfortunate, but FF7R IS an ARPG...

No way. FF7R is a broken promise, they lost a LOT of trust from a LOT of fans.
No, it was streamlined but there was some minor exploration, more than XIII at least which was literally hallways. X had them too but they didn't feel like it at least.
