Nonsense I have been using rest mode since ps4/x1 days.
Quick resume maybe suit for xbox gamers, bc most of them invest heavy time in game pass, and just like netflix users, they like killing time in finding out which they really like and play several games at the same time...But for me, I can only focus on 2 games at most, quick resume is a total waste of system resource.
If they hadn’t announced a PS5 release, I might have considered buying an Xbox for this game alone.
People were overreacting, even if Sony fully bought Kadokawa I highly doubt they would make their games exclusive. Sony would be stuck in the same situation as Microsoft after buying Bethesda and abk.
Times are different now, you can't buy an already successful multi-platform studio and suddenly tell them to ignore sales numbers on PC, not even Nintendo can do that.
So... as the largest shareholder, can they demand that fs make Bloodborne II now?
Before the official announcement of PS5 Pro, there had been countless discussions about whether the rumor is true. If Sony really "publicly stated that it will not make a Pro version", someone would definitely use this statement to dispel the rumor, I went back to those discussion posts and rumor articles but can't find any.

Going 3rd party might be bad for xbox, but definitely the right path for Microsoft.
Microsoft does not release their games on playstation out of kindness, they just desperately need playstation to make up the sale loss from gamepass. But Sony doen't need xbox. Sony owe nothing to Microsoft
China is the main reason for the rise of PC, playstation is still king outside of Asia
Right now Sony is confident that TV gamers will stick with playstation, and I actually agree with them, I don't want to touch keyboard and mouse in front of my TV. But if Microsoft turn Windows into a TV-friendly system and let Steam invade living rooms, I doubt whether playstation can survive without exclusive games

They probably don't think a new Chinese developer is much important and ignored them at first. As a Chinese, I've seen enough evidence over these years that Microsoft doesn't care about the Chinese market as much as Sony does.
A hybrid method of both streaming and local rendering is not too hard. An upgrade from psportal to let me play indie games without internet connection would be much better.
Chinese here, I expected its success , but what surprised me is that it also boosted ps5 sale like crazy . PS5 shortage everywhere, not even Sony 1st party game had made playstation popular like this. Market in China is dominated by pc gamers, I can only assume lots of ppl just want to get their hands on the game asap and don't want to waste time building a PC lol...
The reality is their games are mediocre, the studio lacks creative talent and performance is always fragile, implementing DEI would be suicidal.
