I would take a 60fps patch at this point, which is literally just 2 lines of code Sony would have to change.
There are so many games though that would be an easy patch away from having 60fps on PS5. Sony's approach to backward compatibility is pretty infuriating so far.

"The PS3 sold more than the Xbox 360 too."
I still think Xbox 360 was more successful in terms of revenue generated. PS3 lost a lot of money on every unit sold at the beginning. Multi-Plat games sold a lot better on 360 most of the time and online gaming already cost money on Xbox 360.

The USB-C is a great addition, I hate that Nvidia got rid of it. The fact Nvidia are sparse with I/O on GPUs, that cost way beyond 1000$ at this point, is ridicilous.

"isn't capable of tethering to a PC"
That isnt confirmed yet and I still don't wannt to give my hopes up on it and if Sony won't do it I'm sure there will be an unofficial way to use it with PC.

Quest 2 might be a lot cheaper, but it is not only the cheapest headset when it comes to price but also quality.
The controllers suck and are even worse than the quest 1 controller. The headband is a joke and you definitely need to upgr...

We've been pretty lucky with how stable prices for gaming have been over all those years. Games cost 60$ for a really long time until now and console launch prices have also been almost the same between PS3/4/5 and Xbox/360/Series. Wish the same could be said about GPUs lol
I disagree about TV prices though they are actually cheaper now thanks to more advanced manufacturing processes and while Smartphone have gotten really expensive budget smartphones also have gotten a lot bette...

@Neonridr That is true, but the Index still costs 1079€ for the full kit. Probably because there wasn't much competition until recently

550$ plus PS5 is how much the Index costs though. They cheaped out a lot on R&D with PSVR1 by using PS Move for tracking to push that price point which was probably the right move at the time.
PSVR2 seems like a much more polished product that even pushes the technology forward with foveated rendering, so IMO the price for this is justified.
I agree though that the higher price point could slow down adoption which would also suck.

The specs of the PSVR2 are amazing so I think the price is justified. Only the quest 2 is cheaper, but comes with a ton of downsides for it. PSVR2 should instead be compared to high-end PC headsets. Best comparison would be the HP Reverb G2 which costs 649€
That said I really wish it comes with plug-and-play support for PC. On PC the pricing would crush the competition.
Playstation alone can't make high-end VR mainstream IMO. Being compatible with PC could lead to more V...

VR exclusives are so fucking dumb. This should come to PCVR

1175d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Bring RE7 and RE4 VR also to VR. VR exclusives suck, the VR landscape is spread thin enough as it is

1179d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah the only part of this that looks good are the assets from the other remakes. I mean i hope they succed, but so far this looks really rough and i doubt it will ever be in a fully polished state Especially without the official blessing from Capcom.
The title is also highly misleading since there is only a really short demo out so far.

I wouldn't say most since UE4 games currently have terrible stuttering on PC

I also prefer PCs, but Consoles are great because of the price to performance; plug and play nature and general ease of use compared to PC. I'm glad Sony doesn't try to rely solely on exclusives anymore.

The only things I would change in a new Steam Deck are:
1. Better Screen
A bezel-less OLED would be really nice
2. M.2 2280 support
If AYA manages to squeeze them into the Neo Air then Valve can do it too
3. Second USB-C Port on the bottom
Would be really nice for charging while plugging in peripherals/screen without the need for a dock and more flexibility while charging

Day-1 buy for me if its plug and play with steamvr. I really don't want to buy more than one VR-Headset

IMO the game suffered severely from being open-world and exploration wasn't rewarded at all. Days Gone would be a 10/10 for me as a linear semi-open game kinda like TLOU2, Metro Exodus or Gears 5.
For example, I went into one of the towns and there was a building you could only enter via shooting a fire escape ladder. When I entered the building there was nothing inside because I was supposed to get some item here during a mission later on.
Second example is the huge hor...

"Switch between third and first person on the fly"

Wish they would concentrate on one mode. Being able to switch always leads to some wacky animations

They are not going to get this to run on Switch. The Switch version will just be a cloud version of the game

Oh I’m sure Konami is going to contact them soon, because they are going to send them a c&d
