Oh I definitely agree. I feel grading is only good for museum type pieces (say like a one of a kind item or a console), as like you mentioned, you can find a good condition copy of the game ungraded for a fair price.
I never understood the obsession with grading stuff, especially something as common and lacklustre as a fortnite physical copy. I'm the same with sealed games as well which I just couldn't imagine paying double for some plastic. Each to their own I gues...
If you don't plan on playing this on the go then I don't see why you would get this version, it's the only selling point and it's definitely passable for handheld mode. This is why the switch dock needs to be stronger so we can get a similar product on the TV (like PS4/Xbox One) but have the game playable on the go with obviously toned down graphics. Damn good port when you consider how God awful games like WWE 2K18 are on switch
Feel a lot of people on this...
Clicking the article and can just tell this isn't true
1st one is an unsold buy it now
2nd one is a winning bid but clearly says "Seller has relisted this item or one like this" which 90% of the time means the winner did not pay
3rd one is a VGA graded copy at a 90 (as mentioned highest graded available). Grading games costs a good chunk of money and reflects in the value. As an example my boxed copy of Mario All Stars on the SNES could usual...
Really don't like this attitude at all. The majority of people who are bitching and moaning have some valid complaints such as splitting up gamers into using loads of different launchers (which a lot of people didn't like even before EGS), barebones store layout and lack of community functions and Epic's way of business in general with these exclusivity deals.
Some people are moaning just because it's Epic and they don't like them but there is definitel...
The Simpsons license has so much potential and you could create some interesting and fun games out of it (see Simpsons hit & run + The Simpsons Game) but they are making fuck you money off of Tapped Out so no chance there.
Surprised me how well Hit & Run has aged as well. Despite it's numerous bugs it's still a fun and relaxing experience
Think developers are getting better at developing for the switch now. Panic Button in particular stand out with their work on Wolfenstein and DOOM for Bethesda
I enjoyed it but man it struggled badly at some parts in the game, which isn't unexpected due to the Vita's power. Switch would have no issues with it assuming it's not a half-assed port
Whilst the specs reflect the price for portability the dock is severely lacking. Definitely would love a better dock
Really hope they can improve off of the demo, did not enjoy it much at all
lowkey my ass, Nintendo has always been big on Local Co-op
It's such a shame as you know some publications will review this badly because it has a white protagonist, that is literally the level we've sunk to with videogame journalism
Epic is doing the classic 'throw money at it' approach. They could have spent 1/4 of the money they have currently in improving their layout, maybe even acquiring some studios and bolstering their catalogue then I'd have much more respect for them. I have played two games on EGS (With one being fortnite, other one is Ashen) but I don't plan to buy any game that will release on steam eventually on it, I can wait and I think the majority of people will.
It's such a fantastic game, spent so much time on it and the battle point system is great. Hopefully PC sales are solid as I would get a 2nd Octopath day one
@mcstorm
Game station was fantastic, same as blockbuster as well for games. They stocked retro and new, had good sales and It was just nice to chill out in the store. I remember the blockbuster near me having a TV where you could test out games before you bought, which is the type of stuff that GAME severely lacks.
Literally spent the past few months practising and grinding to even get a chance to qualify and this shit makes that almost completely void. Going back to Native after playing on stretched for months is painful
It's the exact same situation as GAME which is the equivalent in the UK. My local ones have more toys and card games than actual games + they are about £5-10 more than Amazon.
It's a shame as I love going to a shop to buy games but sometimes you cant justify it
The success of Fortnite has really gone to their heads
No company can rival Nintendo at platformers currently in terms of quantity and quality.
I'll admit they have had some average games over the years and they are dumb downed a bit too much for my liking, but games like Odyssey, Tropical Freeze, Crafted World, etc have been great.
How to kill your career before it starts 101
Best controller I've ever played with imo, only the xbox one controller comes close personally. Really glad nintendo continue supporting it despite the pro controller being a great option
