Just focus on fun and not realism. The career modes are fine and quite fun but just make playing the game actually fun

Youve completely ignored my point. If this game is reviewing average across the board then maybe its just that, average. It doesn't stop you enjoying the game though.
The spiderman point makes no sense as no one reviewed that game bad. And even if they did, is there a bias against Nintendo because some people reviewed astral chain bad because it was exclusive? GoW got GOTY for christ sake.

Like mentioned below a docked only switch seems like the logical next step to build the switch eco-system. Gives an option for everyone that way. I'm not sure how much performance increase we'd get with the X2 as I don't know the specs
Just because one reviewer reviewed one game a 6.5 (which is still considered better than average mind you) there is a vendetta against Sony games? Like sure if Spiderman, GoW, Horizon were getting 6's and 7's across the board I'd sense it but they were all praised unanimously, so there isn't any bias.

Agreed, this just seems inline with the reception that the original games got at launch back on the PS1, as reviews seem to mention clunky controls.
Still going to pick it up as I enjoyed it on the PS1 but I cant help but feel some people over hyped this to be some big exclusive. It's just a graphical upgrade to a good game from the PS1 days, nothing like RE2, Zelda: Link's Awakening, etc which modernised the game for audiences today.
If the system/game is out of mass production and is only available on the original hardware then I'm completely fine with it, same as emulating a game you have bought and paid for before.
My gripe is people who use the "preservation" excuse when emulating stuff like the switch, which is mass produced and blatant piracy 80% of the time. Its a minority of people who are emulating games they paid for legitimately, which is a shame as it gives the hacking hobbyist...

It doesn't kill you to accept that a console is doing very well by the way. It's outsold both in the same timeframe (as mentioned below) and is the fastest selling console in US history plus has already eclipsed PS4 and XB1 in Japan.
Like sure it helps that the ps4/xb1 are entering the last years but to use that to disregard the switch's success is just ignorant
