Exactly. Right now if you are aiming for 120 fps or higher then yes, more cores can get you there in a certain few games like BF3 and Crysis 3. But if you are playing at 60 fps like most ppl then a quad-core will not bottleneck you. Not even Watchdogs. Especially if they are only recommending a gtx 670 or 7970 gpu there is no way in hell a quad core will slow that down. My comments have nothing to do with being an intel fanboy, and everything to do with AMD having shitty...
I doubt watchdogs will actually make use of 8 cores, especially since its being released on last gen consoles. The AMD FX-9370 is such a horrible chip and I would never recommend that to anyone. It gets beat in most benchmarks and games by an intel quad core and the AMD chip uses and insane 220w of power vs 77w for intel. Junk.
I'm looking forward to intel's 8-core haswell cpus.

Sounds like you are running out of vram. Did you try lower resolutions and low AA? If that isn't it maybe a bad driver install. Use driver fusion to delete and Nvidia clean install option.

You're wrong BF4 was being played with one 290x @ 5760x1080 resolution which is 2 million pixels less than 4k.
I thought the BF3 DLC maps were the most interesting. Definitely not as exploited as the vanilla maps like OpMetro and GB. I didn't play much End Game tho.
That doesn't work when there are people who are legitimately good getting kicked.
As technology advances to create games that have better graphics, are more realistic, more fun, etc...anti-cheat can also be an improvement. There is no excuse for DICE to keep allowing aimbots in every BF game.

Aimbots were the biggest problem with BF3. If FairFight helps with that situation then I support it. If not then EA and DICE have a big problem.
The PS4 and xdone specs weren't even finalized yet when WD was revealed...so how is this even a downgrade if it didn't exist on next gen consoles yet? The PC version was shown. And it will look even better than the initial video when it's finally released.

Who didn't see this coming? First M$ uses PCs to show off Xdone games at E3. That's right, they didn't even use the damn console they are promoting. Next, games that were advertised are now getting downgraded because the console is not powerful enough. Shocking.

The new consoles both use x86 architecture like PCs. What this means is developers want to tap into the power of PCs more and are now able to use PC as the lead platform for all games and scale down to consoles, which greatly improves development efficiency. This is also the reason AMD is now able to implement this new Mantle API, which further improves the performance of PC games. This new generation is looking to be a big improvement over the last for all platforms.

Nvidia doesn't have any problems with the PS4, they simply stated that consoles are falling further behind PCs with every generation because of advancements in tech, which is true. Obviously Nvidia want people to know this as they hold 2/3 marketshare for gpus over AMD. This is why MS and Sony got their processors so cheap, AMD was a failing corporation that was desperate for cash flow. They won't be making hardly any profit on consoles. I hope this is like the BF3 beta where the full graphics weren't displayed yet, because the BF4 beta looks seriously disappointing. Gameplay is ok but not really any improvement over BF3. I don't see any reason so far to spend over $100 for this game. I think I would rather just play BF3 and all the DLCs.
